Watcher of Realms is always bringing us new heroes and this one, Anai, seems to have mostly poor reactions from others but I really don't think she seems that bad... In this damage test, I use the exact same gear (with NO 3-Piece set bonus) in as close to the same scenarios as possible in NM2. 🔹 NOTE: I am on the Official TEST SERVER which is not connected to the Forerunner or Global servers.

Anai is basically a salazar for burning. A burning infernal team is sth they want us to do, specially with the new artifects for hex, zilithu and arrogance. And ofc solcadans.

@moodymot1ons217 Sure, damage wise, salazar I better. I ment about how sally applies bleed, and it's the best bleed applying hero I game. Anai is the best burning applier in the game.

I got anai pretty early on and recently picked up nocturne who will replace voltus on my guild boss team. I knew nothing about the champions when I got anai and on the web she got a lot of hate but I really like mine, she does so much damage.

Fastidious is not a fan of Anai lol I pulled her this weekend and I was all bummed after he said she sucks. you’re giving me some hope. Teach me Ivy lol

I was blown away that the second highest damage dealing team on clan boss uses Imani.

I think all her dmg comes from that ult with the burns. guessing she’ll be better with running a more rage regen focused build (rage reg in sub stats and maybe artifact?)

I am going to try and use my Anai... in trying to pull for Elowyn (who i still have not pulled) i have gotten three Anai... But last week I also pulled solcadans so I will see how they pair together... I just have to figure out how to gear and artifact them.....

You should use imani with volka and at at least a3, so her revival time is reduced to ~38 seconds and then deploy -> ultimate -> retreat her and repeat At least thats how fastidious did it and imani was better than anai in his testing

nah no reason to retreat her and repeat; when everyone should be using elowyn, laya or hollow to boost in their teams anyway...

Definitely retreat Imani and repeat is the best strat IvyLee. Her passive gives her a massive ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit Damage boost for 25 seconds whenever deployed. I know it seems strange but the boost from these buffs combined with her near instant ult GREATLY outweigh the little big of damage she would get if left on the floor. With Volka her revival time at A3 is just 26.25 sec

Why not test nocturne with rage booster too? Because with rage boost teams you use him also between shields. And true damage more important in nm3/4 where it matters or not?

it wasn't needed... I only added it because I needed to get Imani to have faster ult; i timed her the same as nocturne after the rage regen

If an Epic can do the same job as her, there's no reason to pull and waste skill crystals on a legendary - much less try to get her awakened. Especially at the level being tested, the Epic is significantly more accessible. Imani has nearly 900 less base ATK than Anai! Crazy.

I still don't think she's as bad as people are saying, the numbers with this simple, same gear test really make her seem just fine

She has the same damage output without boosts as an A0 epic. That says more than enough for me. Without considering Imani wasn't being cycled so her passive only lasted 15s as Ivy wanted a like for like comparison. I'm still standing by her being mid. She isn't bad, but she isn't 'meta changing' or even top tier in her class/role.

@@SuziPlaysYT The problem is, if at max skill she's basically replaceable by Imani, why invest legendary skill crystals (one of the rarer resources in the game) into her to get her to that level? Nocturne at least is also good in other areas (e.g. Laseer Void Rift), but does Anai have that versatility? I agree that some of the reactions are a bit overblown as she's more "meh" than bad, but unless there happens to be another area where she really shines she's going to be a disappointing pull.

The fact that a epic is on par or better then the new legendery is wack, i pulled for Elo but got 3x anai and a crach is very disaponting, my Imani a5 do way more for my team then the A2 Anai

Не корректный тест. Анаи играет вместе с зилиту и гневом которые также дают поджог. Под твинфилдом и в хорошем снаряжение она будет лучше ноктюрна

It sucks because out of 6 legendary pulls I've pulled her twice and Shamir twice...the only decent legendary I got was Aspen and amazing being Hex (he changed the single target game for me)
