Shubham, I appreciate you keen interest while studying the session. You are very close to this concept. Now let me clear this in detail see as we know Semiconductor has NTC and Metal has PTC but there is a case when we heavily dope the intrinsic semiconductor it starts behaving like metal as is the band gap between valence and conduction band gets superimposed Taken a doped semiconductor at high impurity concentration such that the impurity states are extended in nature, as we lower the temperature, resistivity show weak temperature dependence i.e. very small increase of resistivity with decrease in temperature. If the temperature is lowered further the resistivity becomes independent of temperature, which is heavily doped means more concentration of the charge carriers, which causes the increase in conductivity and hence becomes metallic like characteristics.
