"I've never let good reasons get in my way before", words to live by! 🙂 I was recently bit by a 2x Nyquist assumption. I was measuring outlet pressures on a progressive cavity pump. By nature it rises up quickly, cycles up and down a bit at the top as the cavities open to the outlet, and then decreases rapidly as the motor stops. We dubbed the waveforms "Bart Simpson" heads for obvious reasons. I figured the top portion was a pretty good approximation of a sign wave, doubled the frequency and proclaimed we could get a decent approximation of the area under the curve by just sampling at a rate the basic I/O on our PLC could handle. Not the case! Slip that first or last sample earlier or later on the fast rising/falling edge of what is essentially a square wave and... Got a little sidetracked there, as I knew it was going to be the DIN at 11:15 haha

Spot the hidden basic arithmetic error! Totally intentional. I like leaving Easter eggs. Or something like that…

This is a great video. Please do make that monster analog video patch wall!

have you ever seen the lemo connectors they are really nice but probably expensive
@superchromat2 жыл бұрын
Yeah. They look amazing. And are priced accordingly :/

So you basicaly chose the most expensive connector because it feels good ;)

Yup. 😁 And I found a supplier in China for much cheaper variants that seem to work well enough for prototyping.

@@superchromat Yeah I have seen that video first. My practical stingy side got triggered by the price :)
