Great interview! And love Todd! A good friend and a knowledgeable guy. He has been a big help to me in getting my Auditronics 210 up and running. George F. Greenville, SC

My cat came up and sat down on my lap to watch this with great interest along with me tonight here in the radio studio. As a 40 year Broadcast veteran and now of course radio station owner I to fondly remember the open reel-based automation systems that I have seen and had the pleasure of working with in the earlier years of my Radio career, before digital came in, of course. I love to tune in and listen to Todd's live automation system streams on Facebook and I'll tell ya a little secret, I've even captured some of those streams of TM Stereo Rock Todd does and some weekend nights I would play some of those audio captures of the TMSR on my little station here. It's very nostalgic and especially the TM Stereo Rock takes me back to my teen and young adult years with some of the greatest Pop music of all time! Great video and interview here. Thanks so much for bringing Todd Edwards onto the show for this nostalgic and fascinating journey back to a monumental time of our Broadcast past!

Thank you for this video. I believe Todd and I are around the same age. I started on the air at a 50kW FM station when I was 15 years old. I worked in radio for 40 years. Im semi retired but do VO work and audiobooks. I have a PR&E BMX 14-channel, Otari MX5050, and a bunch of other analog stuff that I love. This was an awesome video and I loved it! I listen to Todd's TrikFM. Fine programming!

Great to see the SMC equipment still running. My grandfather was the inventor and ran the company along with my father

I only ever skirted the edges of professional radio, but I did have a small studio that I built and I love all that tape gear. Now, in retirement I have taken on the task of restoring some old UK made Sonifex cart machines cos cart machines always fascinated me and I have the electronics knowledge to chip-chase problems on them. I was interested to hear Todd say that he found a source of new pressure pads for carts, will be following up with him on that! This was a fascinating session - I'd love to see a detailed video about those carousel systems - perhaps I will find one on Todds KZbin site.

Some say that Todd Edwards is a “traditionalist.” But just maybe, it would be more accurate to say that he’s a “purest.” In either case, Todd has lots of thoughtful ideas to share. On Episode 563 of the TWiRT Podcast, Todd share his insights with host Kirk A. Harnack. You might be surprised at what Todd has to say. More likely, you will be fascinated with the broadcast engineering information that has captured Todd’s attention.
