Awesome video! I'm new to Arduino and Soldering... When I'm connecting the LED via soldering, can I use the end of jumper wires? If not, what kind of wires should I use?

Yes, you should be able to solder jumper wires to the pads on the LED strip.

Amazing! Exactly what i needed! Can you indicate me what video should i see to use potenciometers to control the colors? I wish i could control the colours with tree independent analog potenciometers! Thank you very much

Thanks for the tutorial, very clear and simple way of presenting the information One question, if I want to use the LEDs to make a Clock, following the digital pattern Would I need to create several cuts in the led strip, so that each one represents a part of the digit forming a number? In that case, how could I connect these parts to the arduino and control them?

Hi - we recommend looking up a "digital" or "addressable" LED strip - we don't have our own tutorial for them, but you can individually control the LEDs of a single strip without having to cut it up. Adafruit should have a good tutorial for them.

wait.. why didn't you plug the barrel jack directly into the arduino? Is there no way to use that 12v with the Vin pin?

In general you don't want to supply a large amount of current through the Arduino. See the top reply here: electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/67201/maximum-current-draw-on-vin-pin. There is a diode rated for 1 amp connected to the Vin pin.

I believe the arduino will not draw more current than it requires and it has a voltage regulator on the barrel plug. If your code causes it to need more power, that is the only reason the arduino would try to pull more than 1 amp through the barrel jack.
