Came to our village - Claiborne, Maryland - population 80, Feb. 24, 2023. They rocked the little town hall. Rich, resonant and very real. Thanks for coming out.

The GAR hall performance was keenly soulful. I love the writing, harmony, and instrumentation.

Haunting melodies... Curiousity... What is the significance of the church pictured at the beginning?... It is in a coastal community near Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada

That's where we shot the video, it has great acoustics. It's now a community arts space, the Grace Space.

The Grace Space, a former church, is now a cultural/community venue. Katy is a friend of mine and I'd mentioned it would be great for video shoots. She brought Mama's Broke there for 'Wrecking Needs' and they blew me away. They loved the space and the acoustics.... and now they are returning... almost to the day... to do a concert there, this Saturday, May 4th, at 7pm. Email theoldgracechurch@gmail.com if you want more info or just check out Grace Space on face book. Really pumped for this!

I can't quite catch all the lyrics.. I wonder if they published the lyrics? I reckon I should check their website? I'm absolutely OBSESSED with this song for awhile.. It's the song of my inner... desolation and.. allegorical of my experience..? That's as close as I can get.. 😔♥️🤗

When I get to thinking 'bout where I'm from I start drinking hard, and talking fast and coming undone And the worst is, I know you feel this You might be the only one First one down through second last Got the whole crowd laughing, reel and cast By the last one, I'm far from done We're moving down hard and fast But I'll come back this way and I'll marry you someday If you promise that you'll never ask me to put the bottle away There's a kitchen window in my mind And my pretty glass bottles all in a line When all I've found when I turn around Is that man on the floor I got a mare, I got a foal What will you do when my body goes cold DId you warn me, will you scorn me Wish I'd never been born But I'll come back this way and I'll marry you someday If you promise that you'll never ask me to put the bottle away I'll come back this way and I'll marry you someday If you promise that you'll never ask me to put the bottle away It's hard to see so honestly But I know you got it bad like me That wrecking need But I'll come back this way and I'll marry you someday If you promise that you'll never ask me to put the bottle away I'll come back this way and I'll marry you someday If you promise that you'll never ask me to put the bottle away I spit poison at all you bad boys and God knows by now I got plenty good reasons To keep on holding the wrong side of the knife in my hand
