I got one from the first batch out, and today I decided to learn how to use the stair and beat out, and I didn't realize that it would add so much. great vid, now I feel like it's just opened a lot more doors.

I was at Guitar Center once, playing a guitar with my back turned to the display rack; a Lady behind me together with her son said in open AIR sorts of way: “Don’t know why he Needz another Guitar”, without skipping a beat, as if on cue, the words, “..some women buy shoes”.. 😊 came forward from my lips, as if I had solved one of Life’s Great Mysteries!! 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇

I keep telling myself I have enough modules to make most sounds... yet this has that AS sound and all in a tidy box with what appears to be more options than say the impulse command... ? perhaps.. its going to be next in line I think for me.. cheers

Incredibly musical. I'd take this over a Colossus!

I don't know, I'd like a Colossus. But I think the deal goes like, either Ample + wife, or Colossus. Wife tips the balance in favor of Ample quite heavily :)

2:40 Depeche Mode! This thing rocks! what a beautiful piece of musical gear. You had me at Fusebox + Generator and then you add in a ton of other stuff from other cool stuff you make...

And of course logically you show it patching to itself, but I just can't help wonder what a few utility modules would add to this beast (like Branches for some probabilistic insertions of snare as a simple example).

@@nth7485Indeed. Similar to both. Very similar to the 12” mix of Never Let Me Down Again (they play it live too). But could be Lightning Man or whatever else. Mostly though … THIS IS A HEAVY SOUNDING SYNTH!

I would love to see a kick drum module based on the 2600's self oscillating filter and dual envelope generators (because they really work together to make a good kick) and VCA. So that way I don't have to sacrifice an entire 2600 just for a kick drum.

When will this be available in the US? I read there is an import tax now. You all create the most innovative synths on the market today. One day the Nobel Prize committee will take note.

The Nobel Prize committee definitely needs a best synth category or at least a best music tech one.

I just googled that - Detroit Modular here in the US evidently is... I imagine Perfect Circuit as well will have it.
