So good to see the series continuing to evolve. It's come so far and remains one of my favourite series of all time.

wow! I didn't expect that they would change and add so much! I really like everything I see here. swimming, jumping, crawling, climbing, swinging - Ryza goes Lara Croft? to the credit of this series: they have, as far as I know, never used the same alchemy system twice! they always found some new and interesting ways to make alchemy interesting again. my favorite so far was the system in Atelier Lulua, because it was difficult but so rewarding., especially late in the game! I also liked the puzzle system in older games (what's your favorite, guys?) anyways, this is a day one buy for me. but, because I love exploration and I just have to find EVERYTHING, that means I'll probably don't get anywhere in the main story. that's why my playtime is usually twice as much than the average. oh my...

I just reach atelier firis and skip dusk because bad translation on escha logy. my fav still meruru because story is nice and funny. It's nice to heard last type of atelier that using turn based is good (lulua). i plan to try ryza too, but after perfectly end until lulua first because look like system and story is totally different.

Thanks for the coverage; the more I see of this the more excited I get. Two things that have me wanting too play Ryza 2 is how the story will open up the worlds law paired with all these welcome exploration options. The other is how each original cast member from Atelier Ryza has matured; over the time that's passed. Lent was a quick fave of mine and I can't wait too find out what he's been up to.

First of all amazing video as always, really love love your channel! And yes, I did watch the gameplay portion of Ryza from TGS and Woah I was excited the whole segment! The game seems bigger than the first with a lot of new features I’d like to try right away (specially the swimming part!) Can’t wait for it to be released, in the first game im only stuck at the Trophy where you need to create all the items lol but I just loved every bit of it! Pre ordered it already and January seems so far LOL
@JRPGJungle4 жыл бұрын
I’m impressed that you’re going for all the trophies! I didn’t actually look too much at them because I was sure with alchemy they’d probably be intense and making them all would be tricky, although the gathering and grind would probably be fun :3 good luck with it :) and yeah, we have to wait till January, but I’m sure it will be worth it :D

@@JRPGJungle it really is a challenge! But I’m going really calm. And as you mentioned , yes, I love the exploration and all gathering materials! It is really fun going all around the world to look for everything! Ryza is my first Atelier and I was impressed on how comfy it is. It’s so nice arriving home from work and playing the game to relax and have a good time :)

Great preview video. I'm most excited about the new exploration elements like the mounted creature and swimming. It will make gathering materials and exploring alot more fun.

i loved the first game, although both the synthesis and battle system had a steep learning curve to it for me being my first atelier game. this looks bigger and more refined, can't wait! BARREL!

While I still haven't played the original Ryza (still waiting on an affordable physical copy ;~;), wow, it is blowing my mind to see all of this in an Atelier game! Everything looks fantastic, and exploring looks like a ton of fun. Man, this game just looks like it's begging to be played

I literally bought the 1st Ryza yesterday on Ebay for $54 (tax included) for Switch. Still kinda pricey but compared to everywhere else, it was the lowest price I could find.
@ircha4 жыл бұрын
Do you think it will release on Switch also together with release on other consoles? Switch versions have a tendency to be released later on
@JRPGJungle4 жыл бұрын
I think Ryza 2 is coming to Switch the same time as PS4, etc this time round :) so everyone should be able to play in January ^__^

Would you recommend this series for a Trails/YS fan? Looks interesting

I loved the first Ryza, and I'm looking forward to this, I am hoping that the sequel has more content and a post game, as well as just more content in general. With that being said since the first Ryza was my first Atelier game I feel like I still put a fair amount of time into crafting some decently strong weapons and armour, fighting the elemental bosses, and doing all the sidequests and whatnot. But with the atelier series and the potential replayability with the alchemy system, I can see why people would want more post game content and I would love more reason to do extra stuff after beating the game or super hard enemies/bosses to fight with the over powered stuff you can make. And yeah more small conversations would be nice with a way to see how they get triggered. Was it possible to miss some of them in the first Ryza? But yeah I thought those optional conversations added some nice development to the characters and hearing that usually most atelier games have even more makes me think how awesome it would be to hage even more of those in Ryza.

Diving under water shouldn't be allowed, at least must have certain skills or items acquired, would seem too fake otherwise
@Heroinedown4 жыл бұрын
Nowadays characters should look wet when going out of water. It amazes me that they didn't even try to make the characters look different after a dive when Blue reflection which came out a few years ago was able to make character models look different on a rainy day. I can already see a few things that scream unpolished to me but I guess most gamers don't care about details (otherwise FFVII remake wouldn't have been such a great sale).
@aeroga23834 жыл бұрын
I don't recall ever going into water or there being rain in FFVIIR tho

I really like both of the ryza games but I'm kinda worried. The games feature a lot more Fanservice than the older Titels and it is ok in the two games. You can like it and enjoy or just don't bother. But I hope the game doesn't become over sexualized. I think most fans of the series like the wholesome atmosphere in the games and it woud be really sad to them if this changes. There are a lot of over sexualized games that's ok but please let me have a game just to relax to.

I really wanted to like Ryza but not having the classic turn based combat really killed the game for me, it was already bad that I didn't care for the characters in the game that much at all. This will be the first time in a very long time that I skip a game from Gust that I actually know about.
@Heroinedown4 жыл бұрын
Buck Roger They are going on the same route Square took and believe me when I tell you, it's not a pretty road. Trying to turn their licence into action games in order to please new gamers that won't even touch the game with a stick is just the most stupid idea ever. Like saying single player games were dead (cough, shut up EA, cough).
@buckroger64564 жыл бұрын
@@Heroinedown glade to hear that someone else is seeing this. I've been a huge fan of Gust for a long time and loved that they kept their games very traditional. I like action games and don't mind a action rpg but I prefure old school turn based any day of the week, just like the more laid back feel of turn based. I get that Gust wants to grow it's fan base and sell more games but I've always felt their biggest problem wasn't in the battle system or story telling, but in its game design and most of that is from not having the time and money to really polish out their games.
