In my opinion, it's also important to mention that Codfish did this battle right after he lost against Tomazacre, and that he stayed on stage, with no break. It's a big disadvantage, since B-art had more time to prepare psychologicly backstage, and come hungry and determined for 3d place, while Codfish had maybe no time to come in this mindset. That's what I felt at the event, maybe I'm wrong, but seems logical to me, and something we should have in mind while watching this battle :) Anyway, just my thoughts hahaha, great analysis bro!

Man, i honestly feel codfish totally could have pulled this had he had a new routine or just something different. He is very good, i love his style, everything he does is mostly clean and in good effort. I feel like the biggest downfall of this gbb for codfish, and i think i say this for everyone, was what he did. He did it very well, but its an old routine, with nothing changed. Everyone wants to see something new, or remixed, not something old and recycled. I feel he put allot of energy and power and did his 2nd round mainly really good, but it was something everyone had heard before. As for B-ART, i feel like when it wasn't sloppy, it was really good and hit hard. BUT whenever he was sloppy, it was bad, it was cringy and hard to listen to, it was gross. I feel like he was trying way harder then he was actually listening to himself and it made his beats fall apart, his sound was off and just messy. As i said, when it was good when it was good, bad when it was bad. I feel like codfish really could have won this really easy had he just done something different. He is very skilled, when he does something its almost always really clean, he has a very clean style to him, and he could have taken this away had he just been more prepped and ready to actually perform a battle instead of something that everyone had heard.

Codfish is a bit of a perfectionist in my opinion. His tech is phenomenal yet he chooses to go with simpler routines and makes the most out of them. His sounds individually are clean as fuck and i think that's how he likes his routines to be as well so he settles for something he can do perfectly well than do more things half-assed. Maybe that's why he didn't bother to win the small final anymore.

Lemme give my personal opinion. I think Codfish by training while CSGO VC a long time ago has found something that seperates him from other beatboxers. I think he doesnt care about technicality,structure or anything. Instead he takes advantages of peoples emotions and feelings to help him win rounds. The simplicity and style of Codfish has always been a major role in his performance. It just gives you that feeling where you want to spam your body like crazy. Im no codfish fanboy but i do respect him highly.
