Yeah you're right and I even think that he used the Skrillex remix of Sicko Mode and the original song mixed up as reference. Yeah the melody of the end of D-Lows round was the melody of Butterfly Doors by Lil Pump, I think it was a good choice for humor and battle’s sake. Also Tomazacre’s switch in the first round was appropriate because it was a cover of Sicko Mode which has that completely surprising sounding switch, so it’s a true to the song, and also ppl who know the song will understand that it’s part of the song At the end of D-Lows second round, pretty much the only weird thing about the rhythm is that it’s a 4/3 polyrhythm at a slow tempo. If the tempo was faster it wouldn’t seem confusing or weird, but Bc it’s a very slow beat it’s easy to get lost in the polyrhythm.

Its like telling his opponent to save himself from Vodoo and than he gets him with that ultimate dark drap thats haunting tomazacre like a freaking dementor or something trying to posses him. Thats soo deep and Art combined with my interpretation of his story and goosebump creating odd drop combination of the low bass and off whistle notes. After D-Low does the whistle thing in his second round, the bass pulses at a dotted eighth note rhythm. It’s hard to follow because it’s so slow, but it’s there. The whistle happens at the start of the measure, and the snare hits on the 3 (or 2 or however you might be counting it). It probably would have helped keep the time if he had hi hats in there, but it might have changed the vibe a bit, so it was probably an artistic choice to perform it that way.
@december74034 жыл бұрын
D-low’s ending of his 2nd round was really DEEP . The first sound which the hollow whistle” was basically tomozacre’s tiredness after fighting the demon “d-low” and then the inward bass comes in as the demon . Then at the last he made a cry for help after the demon killed him. So yeah... that’s why it’s called save ypurself

The ending of dlows second round fit the routine perfectly in my opinion. The routing had a dark feel both in terms of the lyrics obviously but also in terms of melody and atmosphere. I actually think the last 20 seconds was the coolest, because it completed the theme of the song. The thing with D-Lows second round was that it was a 4/3 polyrhythm at very slow tempo, so it sounds really confusing and weird. If the beat was faster it would make more sense. We hear this type of polyrhythm in loopstation tracks from Balance and Saro all the time and it’s really sick, however they use it at a much faster speed so it’s not as weird sounding. Hope this helps!
