Hi, if the excel source has multiple worksheets depending on each other. Only the data in first worksheet is copied from database and rest other sheets are created based on the first sheet. What things i need to take on consideration.

Sir, In power query you had connected to different database(say SQL) to load data , and you have changed some datatypes and with the help of advance editor, and you copied the code and pasted in data retrieved from excel. if that code removes some columns, If we apply and close power query won't it affect the measures that created based on removed columns.

If those removed columns used in measure then it will throw error otherwise no issues

Sir when i make some duplicates from source file(excel), as example i have DOB in excel and from that i found age, so it will replicate in M query but when i connect to sql that field is not there so how we can do that? My though : first 3 line of code is only for source related so can we change only that 3 lines of excel query to sql query source? Like we were doing in append query we did before apply all stages.

@@AnalyticswithNags Ex: Excel file contains, Name, Dob Sql file contains Name, Dob We found age from Dob in excel file. So query automatically generate in M-query. So in that case can we change source?

Excel / SQL dB is the source for power query. Anything derived in source, once you change source you need to derive in New source as well So derive age in power query instead of excel. So you can change any source. age can be calculated irrespective of source system changes

You meant any calculated column inside excel or power query. If it is on power query, you can change different excel.

@@AnalyticswithNags inside power query for instance ( I have excel file as source raw data but in order to build report i have to do data massage and created calculated columns . i do have same data source from database same table name how i can incorporate transformed columns from excel to database

Whole purpose of teaching is to make people learn and do themselves , what is the point in sharing all the source code ? We can share the dataset used for creation then and there in the desc of the videos, we don't maintain pbix files for these videos as we are in the above mentioned mindset. Learn and recreate it.

in Excel Data Source we have only 2016,2017,2018 data but in 2019 we don't have any data.it is 0 or null coming to Sql Data Source we have only 2019 data and we replace with Sql Data Source. in slicer how it will be showing 2016,2017,2018,2019 data. we have only 2019 data in Sql data source with same columns and data type

i have one doubt , the data is similar in excel and SQL that's the Reason you changed the excel to SQL, if there is no similar data in SQL how could you change excel to database

If there is no similar data, no point in changing source. If I understand correctly, if the data column from database is different then create a view in database that matches same like excel source.
