It been 6 years but her legacy is still reigning. I remembered my Tatay was not a big fan of Basketball since he was used to just watch ang play basketball, but when he saw alyssa flying and soaring, having her body almost folded when she's spiking, that really changed his perspective and watch every game of Ateneo during that time. My father has been her Fan, an Avid fan. He even encouraged my younger sister to play vball, thats how strong the impact of Alyssa Valdez. She is really a phenom, the one who set to the big stage not just the Uaap but the philippine vball as a whole, a standard athlete, indeed.❤️🇵🇭

Nong natalo ang ateneo sa UAAP season 78 naiyak ako nong nakita ko si valdez na umiiyak at inikot ang buong arena.. Grabe talaga ang impact niya sa philippine volleyball at sa akon dahil noon hindi talaga ako nanonood at naglalaro ng volleyball pero nong pumasok na sya at nakita kung paano sya lumaro ay dun nadin akong nagpupursigeng magtuto ng volleyball.

while its true d game of vb is not solely attributed to one great player but come to think of this .... its Alyssa's doing n motivations that really made these other players come out played their best bec they were challenged, awed by her greatness to a point , started aping her kind of play. Even the UAAP VB then wasn't popular not until Aly came into view n glamourized d sport, fans started coming to watch admit it or not more bec of Aly's charisma to d public. Finally, Aly is a true phenom n irreplaceable in d hearts of vb lovers.

Alyssa Valdez carried the legacy of the FAB5. That’s the truth. FAB5 started it all; they were the main bridge. It began noong Season 74. Nag boom ng Season 75, the exit of FAB5. Season 76 was the total revelation as Alyssa Valdez with Denden Lazaro left by their seniors due to Graduation. I am a solid fan of Alyssa Valdez but I am pretty sure that she just continued what the FAB5 had established.

Yup the timing is right for her..in addition, she became a hero when admu won in the finals against dlsu for the first time with her leadership (which during that time dlsu is running for their 3peat) , i guess that made the impact so resounding😊

Hindi ako mahilig in any games but when I saw Alyssa Valdez at first parang na curious ako. Who is this girl na tinatawag nilang phenom. So because of curiousity nag try akong manood. I"m so amaze of her performance. So since then, addicted na ako lahat ng mga games nya pinanood ko lahat. Sinubaybayan ko na sya until. Parang nkka addict sya hindi nkkasawa manood ng volleyball kpag nandyan syia. I really really love her.❤❤❤

Dati UAAP/NCAA mens basketball lang pinapanood q at alam ko tpos non 2013 nkita q c AV n pinapanood at inaabangan ng mga kuya at pinsan q saka q lng nlman ang UAAP volleyball. the 20,000 people inside the arena did not come from alyssa valdez alone. i mean for sure a percentage of that are fans from the other squad. Come on haha and please do give credit to the opponent of hers who gave her a good fight. There wouldnt be volleyball if there is only one player or team. I think every volleyball player even former players should be given credit not only Valdez alone. I must admit she is a great player, but please atleast be fair to other players. ;)
