So the Bridon arc is actually not season 3. Director Li confirms it on X that it's actually a side story. It will be 6 episodes long. Season 3 is still at work. And get this. He said that season 3 will be 24 episodes long!!!

​@@BogdonArmus thats for the bridon arc (The one currently airing) which is a prequel and its 6 episodes not 8, Season 3 will have 24 episodes, my source is the latest BiliBili conferences, "LH0 confirmed that S3 is currently in production and will be 24 episodes plus extras, so he asks for patience from fans" im assuming LH0 is Li Haoling.

2:43 What if the visuals we see here hint at the theory that Cheng Xiaoshi can only be saved if he never met Lu Guang and that’s why he splits in two. The colorful version that goes with him representing the original timeline, but also every other rewind where he stays at Cheng Xiaoshi’s side. The grey version of him being the Lu Guang who just started his last rewind and has to turn away from Cheng Xiaoshi to save him. So either he has to let their friendship die or Cheng Xiaoshi dies.
