Even before the clash start the crowd was against Cat. Supercat was getting boos before he even touched the stage. Remember it was only a few months earlier that Supercat killed Nitty Gritty in self-defense which was still fresh on the people's minds so all of this worked against him. Ninja said in an interview he did that this clash with Supercat is the only clash where he was scared. Despite the end result the amount of respect that these two DJs have for each other is nothing less than amazing. I can't believe that Cat went searching for the youth who fling that bottle at him and found him the next day, lol. Supercat and Josey Wales might be the only artists who can defend all of their rude boy lyrics in real life. Sting 1991 is the best clash of all time.

Everybody knows Ninja (Vybz Kartel too) is no Bad mon, nor a Don. Small time criminal, but nothing to the degree of Cat, Josey Wales and Ranking Dread, Real, Real Badmon. But as a Deejay, Ninja is a top tier entertainer. This Klash would have gone longer, if it werent for the bottle flinging. And Cat obtaining proper rehearsal time beforehand.

Gorgan was on home turf and lyricaly untouchable in the early 1990s. Everybody in Stadium come to see Supercat dead that night and we know what happened instead. Back in 90s there was an audio tape floating around of the clash and what most people don’t know is that when Charlie Chaplin call in Supercat, Cat never come in on the stage right away. Cat took almost 30-40 minutes to hit the stage after Chaplin called him in. The version we all know, what we see on the videos is always the edited version. Also worth noting that Cat and Chaplin always had a tense relationship a lot of it attributed to Early B which is why he says “Chaplin leave the stage fast!". “Reverse the Hearse and put in the dead” will be the lyrics that kill Supercat that night and even Shabba the year before, remember Ninja used it in Sting 1990 too BUT more than 30 years after this particular clash with Supercat - the defining moment of the clash will always and forever be “Mi Have Mi Gun Pon Mi” moment because Cat a real real bad man..

See i was in Jamaica for all of this and I remember the vibez. Supa Cat is a reeal bad man and Ninja is a real show man and lyricist. So we all knew that Cat was gonna play the gangsta card. That's why he didn't want Ninja doing too much talkin, cause he can win that way alone. I felt sorry for Cat when he started trying to sing like Ninja😂

But they are friends so the clash wasn’t nothing serious at the end Ninja defend Cat and after they came off stage they were both chilling in the same hotel room. This is just show and entertainment. They are both greats in their own right. Ninja always the lyrical funny man, but him a bad man he don’t have to be claudie massop he is who is he is.
