SPOT-ON. Totally UNACCEPTABLE lack of response by the Sabres. They need to learn the fundamental lesson IN ALL OF LIFE (i.e., not "just" in hockey) that you will command only the amount of respect that you merit and demand. People will treat you the way you allow. If you let them crap on you, they will. Conversely, if you RESPECT YOURSELF at least to the point that you will respond, then others will stop testing you with cheap shots. "TOUGH teams" definitely "get away" with more physical play all season long AND COME PLAYOFF TIME because teams establish a certain "baseline" for themselves within the mindset of the officiating crews ... and they will allow those teams to maintain elevated physical play. On the flipside, teams that establish a "baseline" of characteristically "soft" play throughout the season WILL DEFINITELY draw more penalties when they suddenly start standing up for themselves and playing more physically. So it's "pay me now, or pay me later." Bite the bullet, turn into a gritty physical team that won't accept this garbage, live with the penalties, and come out of it in a few weeks with a new reputation that WILL CURB all the cheap shots going forward. Unfortunately, we're already in February, so that ship may have sailed for the remainder of this season ... but it can set the paradigm for the future.

Gutless cowards since Andrew Peters, the team shouldn’t even talk about making playoffs. Imagine these cupcakes against a team like Florida in round 1. It would be even more of an embarrassment than the season itself.

Hahaha. Teams a dumpster fire. 2 wins in a row? Whoop Dee doo! The blowup should’ve started a month ago. Or maybe we’re only 5 more #1 picks away from completing our 20 yr rebuild… but hey, at least Adams made our 4th line better, especially by trading a damn 2nd round pick for Beck Fricken Malenstyn. Team sucks…they’re soft.. they’re weak.. they stink…

@ possibly. Or they are the best last place team of all time. They are playing well. Goalie playing well. Sure it’s been a terrible season. But you don’t say that after 2 wins in a row in early February. But yes if they regress back to usual by mid February then the season is over.

@ yes, you and every other fan would prefer that. Just trying to stay in the moment. They actually have to play the games. We just get to sit back and criticize. You’ll have plenty of time to be right in a couple weeks unless everything goes perfectly here. Hopefully they give us a fun ride.
