I think PSone black disc refers to the fact that inserting the Symphony of the night disc into a CD player would give you a message with Alucard’s va telling you, “As you can probably see, this is a PlayStation black disc” along with the usual warnings that playing game discs in a CD player could harm the disc or the player, but then ends with something like “You’re probably not going to listen to this, aren’t you?” As a bonus music track plays.

Yeah, that “Malus is Walter” theory definitely doesn’t make any sense. Malus makes it very clear that he is in fact, Dracula (Mathias). He mentions the 100 year resurrection thing, and even calls himself “Dracula Vlad Tepes” a name Mathias adopted. Besides, Walter wouldn’t be able to resurrect anyway, because his soul, along with the Ebony Stone, belongs to Mathias.

Richter in sotn plays very different than he does in rondo, I think the only thing they have directly in common is jump, whip, and some sub weapons, mostly because richter has a shit ton of special moves that he basically has to use to beat the game

I was the one who made the more complete Castlevania Iceberg meme, and even if you didn't cover the whole thing, I really appreciate it, the video turned out really well. And just to clarify some stuff, the Shaman King games on GBA, I said they're "sequels" to AoS because they use very similar engines, and are overall very similar, specially visually. The Malus is Walter and Shanoa being related to Hector were just fan theories I've read on the internet once, and they stuck with me, so I decided to add them in just for fun. If possible I would still love to see a video on the entire Iceberg, there are a lot of trivia there I was very surprised to find out, but I totally understand why that would be a ton of work

Better theory that I've heard about Walter: his soul was released from the Chaos Realm (final area of Aria of Sorrow) in 1999 upon Dracula's final death and he was reincarnated as Graham. This led Graham to logically believe he was lord of the castle - because he was its lord before it was stolen from him by Matthias - but he wrongly believed he was Dracula's reincarnation. If that's the case, he probably didn't know Walter existed, assuming the castle always belonged to Dracula.

I think Eric being related to Alucard has to do with a fan theory that Alucard had a family with Maria. That's why he has the surname Lecarde even though Eric is from Spain and both Eric and Lecarde aren't common names in Spain. And Lecarde kind of sounds like Alucard if you add an A. Lecarde Alecarde Alucard So Eric would just be Alucard's desendant.

If anything it adds to why the lecarde sisters in por are able to so quickly become powerful vampires and also revert back to human even after being in a vampiric state so long. But, Alucard's name in japanese is Arukado, so it might still work but thats a stretch Arukado Arikado Rikado Ricardo Besides, its still a cool little head canon to have. Makes the canon a bit more complete given the Morris and Lecarde era is one of which we know the least (i think, maybe PoR sheds light on things, haven't played it yet). Only next to 1094-1475, from Lament of Innocence to CV:3. All we know is Mathias becomes stronger and has a kid, and the Belmonts move east and get shunned by the people.

Probably someone has already said it but, the Eric theory mainly comes (besides the spear) that in the sequel CD Drama to SotN (iirc directed by IGA) has Maria Renard living with Alucard in a cabin, basically having them hooked up together. So with the "Lecarde" surname being a mix of Alucard + Renard. Not only that, but his japanese name, Eric Ricardo, Ricardo is in katakana as "Rikaado"... With Alucard's alternate identity in Aria being Genya Arikado. Of course we have no hard confirmation either, and I doubt Konami as it currently is will ever revisit Castlevania. At least not it's current canon.

I find funny how the Crissagrim fake fact kinda makes sense. In Dawn of Sorrow, with that weird sytem of soul-crafting weapons, you get to make Crissagrim with the soul of Abaddon, where in christian mythology, is a Demon Lord of Locust that eat everything in their way resembling a wind of insects... So you can say that in a way, at least for the concept of the weapon, and in Dawn of Sorrow, Crissagrim kinda based on the bible. OR A trailer for a ps2 castlevania title that would have the return of Alucard as the main protagonist, it was never developed. I ever have some of this theories for myself but never could figure out if could be real, mostly from SOTN: 1. Maria was playable in SOTN... PS1, This is a one of the most talked in his day, but it seem it was "thought" to be playable, but time constraints avoid she could be inserted, also many of his sprites was found in the game fuelled this theory for years. Later she was inserted (aside of the Saturn version) in the PSP versión coming ported from PS1 and changed voices. 2. Secret Discard items, Using a "gameshark disc" (a CD to insert cheat codes in games in playstation) and using the code to obtain any item from the candles, when you change the last two digits you get interesting unused items like: a 5000$ Chest or a giant roast pot, also there other depending the code you using : castlevaniadungeon.net/Images/Weird/SotN/newitems.gif The theory is if some of these items was indeed unlockable playing normally 3. When Alucard is converted to stone, sometimes you are converted in a gargoyle castlevaniadungeon.net/Images/Weird/SotN/alucard-statue.gif the theory says you supposedly convert in this demon IN game when you hit lvl 99, which of course is a lie, but still many people wondering if could be true by others ways, the lack of such sprites says other thing. 4. This is one i thought about long time ago, but never could prove or disprove: The Werewolf playable in SOTN, and the idea come when one day i was seeing his attacks, normally the bosses are pretty stiff and big but this one literally have everything to be playable: it can jump, multiples attacks, dashes, sticks to the walls and more important it have more or less the same size as Richter and Alucard to pass through any corridor in the game, also other idea he maybe at least be in his plans to be usable is the next game was Castlevania 64 and then Castlevania Legacy of Darkness... In which his protagonist is a werewolf. 5. Using Sypha, Trevor and Grant as playable characters, basically the same thing with the werewolf but using all these guys at once, like Castlevania 3 (NES), of course they and the werewolf be bonus characters. 6. Castlevania Circle of the Moon: Play with Hugh Baldwin, He has all sprites like a normal character, also since in mostly all castlevanias "SOTN style" you can play other characters, is strange in COTM is the only you can´t, The others modes (Magician fighter etc) don´t count, since is the same Nathan. 7. Castlevania Circle Of the Moon: Toy Ring , Well this item is literally useless, ...or is it?

But if i am going to talk about the bad lets talk about the good. That pixel animation is amazing, of who i presume is Quincey morris fighting the count. The sprite who i presume is Quincey morris, looks like its a customized Julius sprite from DoS. again i Love it, Did you do that or was it someone you know?
