Continuing from the Part I of this miniseries, the Principality of Zeon has always been one of my most favorite fictional country because it blends in a lot of aspects of human history in the process of the nation. Inspired by the "Ideology" series by Pyramid Inu, this video series focuses more on practical politics and their mirrors with the real world.

Uh, around the nine minute mark you said Zeon Deikun had the idea to drop a nuclear asteroid on Earth, not true, Char’s(aka Casval) twisted mind came up with that plan not his father. He used his father’s ideals to justify it though

"char's twisted mind" Oh come on, Char wasnt twisted, he set up the entire axis drop to bait Amuro into killing him because he couldnt do it himself and nobody besides Amuro was good enough to do it for him. He wasnt actually thinking that destroying earth was in line with eleism (and even if he did, it would turn out to be the correct and only solution as we see in turn A and reconguista) You have to remember that char lost his wife and child, then found a surrogate daughter in Mineva who was taken from him and then a surrogate son in Kamille who he lost (or so he thought) Char's last words before we see him in CA as he is executing his plan are "I will find my promised land", He's not going to get that by destroying earth, he's going to get that by dying and joining the other newtypes.
