Thanks Benj! I see you've been poking around with them lately too! 👀 They're an unreal bargain for the look & function imo.

As a fellow Sony FX6 user and wedding videographer, I am truly impressed by the shots you captured with the Blazar Remus lenses! Which focal length were you using, and did you encounter any issues with focusing while filming run-and-gun content during weddings?

Dude, thank you! This was my first of the season, so that means a lot. I used all three of the first sets (45, 65, 100). I always manually focus, so I didn’t notice anything different, but as the season went on, I found myself using clear image zoom to punch in a little rather than doing all my zooming with my feet. If you’re considering these for documentaries or wedding work, my biggest learning this year was almost never shooting wide open. Even in this film, you’ll see some shots that are softer than I’d prefer. A cine saddle of some sort will go a long way as well. They’re a bit needy as far as lenses go, but they’re beautiful, and you can absolutely make ‘em work. I’m going to keep using them if that tells you anything.

@@macweddingfilms thank you for the awesome words! What t stops were you doing throughout the day? If you had to choose one lens to stud out with which one would you choose?

@@JSHFilms I was wide open for a lot of this one, but going to t4 will drastically improve the sharpness. 65mm is the grail lens. 43mm on the horizontal and punch in with CIS to get something like 97mm on the vertical.
