Magnus defended pretty well but Anand had almost crushed him. It was Anand's couple of inaccuracies that allowed Magnus to come back. After Rb6 by Anand the Stockfish (NNUE 15 at depth 34) gives him an advantage of +3.0 After that he played Rc6 which was an inaccuracy but still even after Qd3 by Magnus, Anand had to find Qg4 and would still have the advantage of +1.1 But a few inaccuracies in a row and he had to settle for a draw. Afterwards he also said that he was very disappointed as how could he not win such a beautiful position.

I'm surprised people care so much about the video titles, to be honest. Whether it says "Magnus the Magic Mater" or "Magnus Plays Chess" or "Wesley and Shakhriyar are the most exciting players to watch go at it......... Magnus." We all know what we're in for if it doesn't specify a theme (ie. "GTE" or "How to lose/win at chess", etc.): Chess content, continuing coverage of a pre-established chess tournament, and a variety of players and games. I don't get it. The video could literally be titled "Magnus plays kick-the-can with Arkady Dvorkovich after Magnus and Sam Shankland lost a tag-team crossword puzzle match against Robert Hess and Dmitry Andreikin"... and I would expect analysis of 3-5 chess games from a given tournament, and nothing else.

The point of not trading the knight explicitly is that because you don’t want to take it you now have 2 pieces that either has to sit around doing nothing or has to be rerouted and if they are rerouted then it still takes plenty of extra predictable moves to dislodge the knight so thats not the best. so taking the bishop before it’s about to be freed or the knight is about to be eliminated is silly and just unnecessary it just gives up control of squares and restrictions on the opponents moves right away for no reason at all.
