my favourite trope, although I wouldnt really count it as a trope since its so broad, is SLOW BURN. I live for stories where the romance takes ages, and there is pining and longing stares and obliviousness😭 I hate insta love because I never can get invested, like i need it to be slow burn and pining. Honestly all of the tropes that Ron and Hermione have in there romance I like, I love that it took 7 whole books for them to confess and 10 year old me was so invested 😭

I'm realizing more and more I love romance in horror stories. I'm not even talking about a full blown romance like Edward and Belle either or people being erotic with each other in all of American Horror Story. I'm talking about the romantic portion being the subplot within the scary stuff that's going on. For example, I love 1985's The Fly and Dracula being infatuated with Mina. I find I'm more invested in characters when they're in a relationship or has a blossoming relationship prior to the scary thing happening in the story, cuz the scary thing can serve as the conflict of whats keeping the couple apart that the couple have to overcome together.❤

The book I’m working on has a romance subplot involving a tritagonist and a girl next door king of thing. A pretty insecure guy who’s made himself shallow my repressing the parts of his character he didn’t want or like, and she’s sort of the person who makes him come to terms with himself and his culture, his history because she’s living it, and he wants it, and she’s showing him that it’s okay.

Hey Ana! Another fantastic video! I was wondering if you could do a video about writing descriptions (settings, feelings, characters, etc.) and like internal monologue stuff. I feel like I have a hard time writing what a character is feeling without it sounding overly dramatic or clunky. It would really be helpful for a video (you don’t have to do it though, of course)

Thank you for putting up this video Ana. This video was really helpful for me as I have been working on a romance novel since July 2022! I will definitely check out Dreme and I will try commenting on your videos more often as I have been inconsistent with that, but just know I love your vibe, your podcast, and your encouragement so so much ❤

Hi again 👋😁 thanks again for this vlog. Love it. 💗 And yea, I have been reading Dreame for almost 3 years. And also published my werewolf story there, since I have a couple of good stories I read from Dreame. There is also Dreame Lite, and another version that is Yugto. There are other like Novelcat and Popnovel. Goodnovel is on its own. You also have Ireader, storyline (blue and light blue-green mix) There are other book apps as well, that most you have to pay to read the chapter. Even though I also have two book apps that you can read stories for free, except for watching an add to open the next chapter. Had nothing to do or read during lock down, so I had those apps to read from.
