7:56 was literally me back in 2023 except make it walking around a table more than ten times while eating yogurt, cleaning my room and re-organizing a part of my bookshelf because I was trying to think of ways to describe the plot of my WIP in one sentence... also I'm LOVING the whole brainstorming vlog with us like we're all on FaceTime

Thank you so much for this! I had been struggling with gathering ideas for my plot and was feeling overwhelmed and stressed. But, after watching your video, I felt motivated and got back on track with my writing again. Taking my time to plan and brainstorm my story really helped me, and now I feel more confident and motivated to continue working hard on it.

Just a small critique of an idea: Birds and mammals last common anscestor was a looong time ago. Like in the Permian (or just before, I cant fully remember). At that time mammals weren't a thing, and birds certaintly weren't, since dinosaurs didnt exist either. And nothing had fur or feathers. Not commenting that to be rude. You can make the book however ya want, and i like the idea. Just from a 'scientific' perspective that does'nt make much sense. But I know you could make it work regardless or come up with a cooler idea :)

I'd like to recommend "In the Lives of Puppets", not just to you Ana but to everyone watching this video. It's post-apocalyptic, sci-fi future with robots and an unexpected romance arc. And if for some reason anyone's looking for something like Pinocchio, it's a perfect fit..

I really like your story concept and feel the urge to throw my two cents in. I personally would not have the supernatural time travel element as it’s too fantasy. Instead I would keep it purely science fiction, like Frankenstein, and I would set your story in the 18th/19th century. The father should experiment on his son, by playing with genetics and dna as you mentioned. In fact he could have experimented on the mother to ensure she birthed a son who grew wings. But now we face the dilemma of your book, what is the great evil here? The harm the father inflicted on the previous failed patients? The mother? Were these patients consenting? Did he take advantage of the needy and the desperate or the mentally ill? Perhaps this can inspire the son, the fathers greatest creation to turn on him. also your fathers obsession with wings and angels could be deeper if it comes from a religious standpoint. Perhaps he hopes to make heaven real, or he wants to play God and he believes angels are the ultimate form human beings ( the new guardians of the galaxy movie tackle this theme). Perhaps there is a rival scientists who seeks to make something diabolical and hellish. Anyways just some ideas for you.
