I'm afraid... this is me. I get started on a book... then a shiny, attractive idea for another novel pops up, I abandon the old and turn to the new. Thanks, I needed this! And your explaining is *chef's kiss.*

are you kidding me right now I literally stopped a project two days ago and skipped on a new one that came to me. honestly, I had been working on this project for way too long and the plot holes I hate them. I couldn't just continue it. but this podcast was so helpful thank you so much for this podcast!

Don't give up... know when to stop. In other words sometimes as you are showing a project isn't working and you have to axe it and start afresh. This can be equally important. So I agree knowing when to do this and when not to can be helpful to mainly finishing, but also a little bit to finishing something you actually feel able to re draft /use It's like drinking water, in a lot of countries most people might not be drinking enough but that doesn't mean you can't drink too much.

I do this. I write or get new ideas when in the middle of something I'm writing. It got me stuck getting new ideas and not finishing each story. Thanks for the tips! Saving this!

My characters thank you, Ana. I had a new idea that I almost started, and now I want to spend time with them because of this video. The whole talk about your book thing I do all the time. I think my mom knows the book better than me now lol.

I know this is a very, VERY late comment, but does anyone else wish Ana would talk about plot pacing? I've been really struggling with that, and I need a video about plot pacing. Like if you agree :]

As a new writer, I luckily haven’t come across this problem as I wanna stick and dedicate myself to my current book idea 😅 But I loved this video 🤍 But uh ana, I know I asked before- but even though you mentioned in your last vid not too force yourself to do any steps when writing, but what are the basic steps? (Or guidelines that you usually follow) I have no idea where to start 😅 Is there anyway you could list the steps? It would literally mean the world

My problem is nothing finding the fatal flaw or misbelief for my characters and having the antagonist coming in way to early and I just can't get through the rest of my story and end up starting all the way over 😢 and I can't keep with the 3 act story structure for I've never wrote like that before and tried it few times but its not working
