I refunded after 1.5 hours. No real "survival" to it besides don't die to AI or people. Only animals are ducks and you cannot harvest them. Strictly a PvP shooter game

stuttering can sometimes be fixed/reduced by right clicking deadside (steam library) and going Properties -> General -> type -d3d12 in the box and it will run in dx12

Me too, but I don't think any AAA company wants to risk it honestly.. it's a hit or miss kind of market, a lot of gamers aren't even aware of the survival genre.. explaining it to my gamer friends is difficult 😂

It's only getting better. I left Day Z for this game lol. Day Z has way more features and function but Deadside has missions and AI which gives a lot more content.

Didn't know you could tbh, thought ammo was inventory dependant since there's no actual magazines lol

Unfortunately stacking is almost as bad as DayZ, except you can RClick in your inventory & choose Stack All. Or just manually drag-drop like ammo to stack.

@@RustyBear I know I meant ones that will attack you if you get to close trying to hunt them or just simply try to hunt the player lol. I feel the game needs a melee threat of some kind. Bears, wolfs, bobcats, elk that can charge your ass and be hard to put down but worth it for the meat, hide and antlers that can be used in more new crafting or putting in your base as mounts

I've only played this version of Deadside for 2 Weeks, here are some pointers I found with help from the players I play with: The Blue Blow torch is to fix the boat. To hold breath (Help with Aim) hold shift. The empty bottles are refillable from player made wells. If when fully kitted out and Accidentally do a swan dive off of the lighthouse (even if you get to your stuff, you can't loot it) Hit Y to deafen the sound of the boat. When the condition of the guns are in the Yellow; Accuracy and loading are garbage.

@@LightLeo111 Only once; I always have bad luck in games; must be the Curse of the QA Tester. For a other example: While testing a other game in Unity I keep having the same bug over and over again; and none of the Dev's get the bug, I've recorded it and sent it to them along with the Unity Error logs and they still can't find/reproduce it on their end.

A reminder that deadside is a first/third person shooter with survival mechanics on the side. Although the latter is being expended it is not a survival game per se.

They have a good platform to work on. The AI needs reworked, gunplay is odd, and they need more depth to the game, and I think it could be a real competitor… if you’re someone with limited time who likes PVP, this could be for you.
