You should fry the ride first, take a pan and sautée some bell pepper and onion until golden brown and then throw the rice in there and add salt, it helps to make the process a bit faster, but don’t add too much. Keep moving it with the spoon so it doesn’t burn, you’ll hear after a while when you should stop because it’ll sound crunchy. Then just add the water, you want it to cover all the rice and then you’ll let it absorb all the water, you can cover your pan. Make sure it doesn’t burn so keep an eye on it. That’s how we do it in Nicaragua and I’m pretty sure in most Latin America places, it just taste much much better and delicious
