Luminosity and Light in a Watercolour Landscape | Loose Expressive Painting Style Demonstration

This painting did not go to my original plan, and I am very happy about it as it turned out much better than the pre-visualised scene I started with. I feel like it has taught me new things about watercolour and brought fresh energy into my creative process. I love the glow and the luminosity and the light I managed to create here.

Anastasia, you became by far my favorite artist watercolor! You have such a sensibility and softness. This video for me was the best I have seem from you (I just found out about you few days ago, so I didn't watch a lot yet). Have you heard about some people having the experience of being guided by existence? Scientists, mathematicians (Ramanujan), dancers (Vaslav Nijínski , painters (Van Gogh)... all have something in common, at some point the mind step away and the heart open for something beyond. The state of no mind allow through the heart to receive informations, inspirations... and they are able to become a channel for the existence express itself. In this video your painting just became that and is beuaitufl watch you watching the process happening in front of your eyes, Instead of doing what you wanted at first, you allowed it happen and you learned something beyond any technique and teaching, you went beyond of all that and that's the result. Do you think the hake brush is worthwhile?

I use my hakes quite often for blending colours in large washes. They create lovely blends and expressive marks, and they are quite reasonably priced too - I think it's a fun watercolour 'tool' to have!
