I appreciate your work, could I ask a question : shouldn't you use "An integer n is even if and only if it has the form n = 2k for some integer k" in your definition instead of what you wrote ?

Prove that if n is an integer, then ⌊n/2⌋=n/2 if n is even and (n+1)/2 if n is odd.
