the 1UZ in My XE falcon NA on stock ECU was making about 140rwkw and was keeping up with LS1 VT SS back 10yrs ago.. can imagine this would be plenty of guts(probably still go better than a stock clevo in an XE Falcon also)

Frank Kelly [Baby-Blue Rally car] Runs a Diamond Millington] BUT even he says Torque WINS RALLIES. So i get why This is Running The K24.

At first I was wondering why the dyno run doesn't sound like typical Honda run? Than I've heard 500 Nm of torque and it all became clear!
@alex79buckland3 жыл бұрын
I'd argue with you on the power side of things over here in the UK there is lots of MK1 and MK2 Escorts well in excess of 250bhp and you've only got to look at Frank Kellys MK2 that's very competitive top end modified and is running around 350 ponies from a Millington and he does both surfaces as do alot of people over here Roger Hicks from Wales is another guy who was running high power in a MK2 using a single cam 8V volvo engine with larger displacement and he was high 300's bhp with alot of torque from the Swedish developed power plant and with the light weight 6sp sequential he was also one to watch

The 2.4l engine is making 500 NM? Is that what I heard? This is still N/A - correct? As this thing is supposed to be reliable. No way a 2.4l N/A Engine is making 500NM! There must be a missunderstanding.
@haltech3 жыл бұрын
Derived Torque. It is a calculated figure that some dyno manufacturers use to negate variables such as gearing. The important thing is the difference between the two figures, the 2.4L derived torque number is much higher than the 2.0L.

500nm of torque ? Wtf. Something's wrong here
@tinncal3 жыл бұрын
As i watch second time, he said 500nm on the wheel.
@mattjohns33943 жыл бұрын
Bump up the compression, ported and polished and tuned correctly, 500Nm is understandable. Just. 2.4l is a big 4 cyl.
@trentcrompton95273 жыл бұрын
@@mattjohns3394 it is tuned correctly 🤷♂️
@ngt843 жыл бұрын
@@mattjohns3394 its not the first k24 or k20 in the world... 185hp and 500nm at the wheels are diesel numbers. I mean the R35 3.8 v6 turbo is making 630nm ENGINE torque. So you tell me a N/A 2.4 makes the same WHEEL torque as an R35 ?
@mattjohns33943 жыл бұрын
@@trentcrompton9527 yes, that's why an NA 4 banger makes 500Nm. That's exactly my point.
