I read in a article about this guy and he actually got removed from his MBBS program shortly after this comment. It wasn’t specific why they removed him but it didn’t look good. I’ll try to find the article to post here.

I used to watch his videos in 2014 when was in med-school, and today I wanted to refresh my anatomy in relation to brain blood barrier as am doing neurochemistry now, but somehow had to come back here. The best anatomy ever in my opinion

Thank you for your neuroanatomy videos! They are a great introduction into the field. You seem to have something that my course book really lacks: A desire to actually teach the subject in a way that one can follow and understand.

I don’t know why but the name Circle of Willis cracked me up every time you said it. It’s such a silly sounding but awesome name for an anatomy structure. What is the origin??
@CarlosBenito28
@CarlosBenito28 11 жыл бұрын
Because, probably a secondary branch coming off the middle cerebral artery burst, leaving without blood supply to cerebral cortex motor area that controls your leg movement. Sometimes, other areas replace the affected one and you might recover the movement of your leg.

thank you so much .i totally understand the concept now. thank you for this video and the others, you make my walk through medical school much easier. however , i have a little confusion where you start highlighting the middle cerebral artery and the anteriour cerebral artery , the arrow for the middle cerebral goes to the artery on the left of the screen but when you rotate the model to show the middle cerebral artery through the lateral sulcus, it is the other one on the right. I would really really appreciate some clarity. thanks once again

To complicate one's life, the majority of people have anomalies of the Circle of Willis and related vessels. That's very important to surgeons who must decide whether to insert shunts during vascular operations.
