Anbernic RG353V PSP Emulation Showcase

The RG353 line is capable of emulating much of the PSP library but does struggle on some of the more demanding games. In this showcase, I'll show you some really fun games that can easily run on the RG353.
All games shown are emulated in ArkOS with the PPSSPP standalone emulator. Auto frameskip of 1 is enabled but many of the games showcased here do not need it.

I agree. The rg353v is a little cramped. I prefer the horizontal devices. Still it is a fantastic device and great build quality with the same characteristics as the rgb30 for anyone that likes vertical form factors.

I personally like ArkOS better but jelos is very similar and also a great choice. Avoid stock os.

The Linux PPSSPP has been updated with lots of improvements since I made this video and so the VS should have pretty similar performance though android psp emulation will have slightly better.

Open ppsspp settings, display layout & effects - set aspect ratio to 0.85

The rg cube can play almost all PS2 games without much issue. Would I recommend it for PS2? Personally I think the 1:1 screen is not ideally suited for PS2 and I would prefer the 16:9 screen of the rg552 instead if PS2 is the primary system you plan to emulate.

Most of the games are played at 2x resolution. One or two of the games showcased I dropped it to 1x

well. a used PSP is dirt cheap like $10-20 so why buy a much expensive handheld just to emulate psp games with alot of flaws

It seems smooth to me. That's why I show the frame counter in the corner - it's playing at a pretty steady 30fps.
