I love the 4inch screen on this one. I think it would help if you zoomed in a little while you are playing. It’s kinda hard to see when you are so zoomed out.

Pro tip: keep the mushi protector that comes in the box and use it with your protective case ❤ That way, you can have a protection from the stuff you place in the mush pockets.

My switch lite is my favorite handheld by miles. More than my OG switch, steam deck, retro handhelds and 3ds. That said… to each their own… lots of good competition… which is good for all of us :)

The device ships with an sd card full of games. Backup that data and transfer it to a name brand SD card. Now, in terms of UI, the stock os works right out of the box and is great for ppl new to the hardware. Enter: custom firmware. I was using muOS but they don't have a build for this model so now I use KNULLI and it is one of the best front ends I've ever used.

When was release day? I just ordered one a few days ago/ earlier this week. It also is coming from China since the color sd card I choose to add and then realized that was a mistake after since everyone said to just do it yourself with a better sd card lol

Be sure to upgrade your SD card as these ship with cheap storage that is prone to fail. The stock OS is ok but the KNULLI custom firmware really makes the device pop with tons of features. I can't put mine down.

Great video! Do you know if this device would have better performance with N64 and Dreamcast if you were to change the OS? I’ve heard some people online saying that performance increase with an alternative OS installed

Yea my plan is to utilize muOS on this device for improved performance of those systems when the RG40XX build is released :)

The bigger screen, its ratio and button placement make it a good option for basic retro emulation. I still hope we get an affordable, foldable 2 screens console to give the New 2DS XL experience.

just buy either a pre owned dsi/3ds or 3ds xl. since e shop is dead and no nintendo support, Hacking an installing custom firmware on it is a breeze. can emulate up to ps1 (havent tried playstation on it yet).plus added bonus of playing ds,and 3ds games. theyre already got file sharing and internet transfers.

With my RG35XXSP, I tried to play Altered Beast on RA but exited. Thought it was a bad rom so i replaced it with a known good rom, tried the other cores on RA but still exits. Tried with GameRooms and it DID play. So it must use a different core. Openbor are fan made games. I like to turn off overlays and change scaling to core provided for full screen.

One thing to keep in mind, PAL versions of games run at 50fps. I don't know why Europe wants to be different, but they are.

In Europe, AC signals alternate with a frequency 50HZ, so using 50fps aligns with that

Nope. It’s a solely retro gaming device. But there’s a built in video and mp3 player.

I mean its not a better switch lite it has 1/4 the ram and easily 1/3 the processor.
