...Corruption in the Philippines is not at all a surprise. Commissions, Kickbacks, Sidelines, Pabaon, Pasalubong etc. is well known all the way back to the days of Marcos era. In every Filipino families at least one is connected or member of AFP. It is part of a proud warrior tradition & if he is with high position, the power of money plays an important role. Ex.Sec.Angelo Reyes is a fall guy but there are many (retired AFP officers) who may never be investigated...hoping they will soon to fall.

...while the conflicts continues down south, in Manila, it's where some Generals are busy counting the millions of Pesos made through corrupt practices. Maybe it's a way called "Tactics of diversion" in order to divert the attention of their illegal wrong doings. It is also very suspicious of the existence of the Abu Sayaf, if carefully analyze are probably created by those in power. The unsuspecting poor civilians becomes the victim of AFP drama slowly unfolding into a circus in the Senate.
