Its True - The ANC in exile in the 1980s was heavily infiltrated- there were spies - there were double agents. The ANC was disorganized. Some ANC members had started voluntarily coming back through a back door through the Homelands - Transkei - Venda - Ceskai . The fall of the Berlin Wall - The Fall of the Soviet Union all these factors worked Against the ANC. The Soviet Union funds and help was drying out. If the ANC was not unbanned in 1989 by De Klerk and Mandela not released - The ANC would have been doomed.
