He allow the game to continue then after that, he will whistle and check if indeed there was an offside. But with Bayern, he whistled before Bayern player kicked the ball to score and Madrid players didn't defend it bcos he whistled. Bayern wasn't robbed because after the mistake, he allowed the game to go on beyond the added time. 9mins added time but they played 15mins. The referee did well aside that mistake he did.
