I love your witty ways and good humour, your wife seems a bit more serious so I think it must be good for her to live with your zany ways . Lovely boat , you are living the dream .

This American finally found her French boat with a lifting keel and aluminum hull. I used to think you guys were a little weird because you never left your boat really but now that I own my dreamboat, I’m not so keen on the desire to leave it either.

Great to hear you found your boat 😀 Sorry to disappoint you, but we do leave the boat and live in our home in Sweden from time to time 😉

Thank you for sharing your videos, your boat looks super comfy. Frenchman living in New Zealand here, I am hoping to sail to the Subantartic Islands one day. A Boreal would be a great companion for this. Out of curiosity, did you rent your bicycle on the spot or do you store them onboard somehow? Bon vent.
@bushpoint6 ай бұрын
We have our own bikes which we store in the lazaret. Thank you for watching 😊

"Only dead fish follow the stream." That's excellent. English is known for stealing from other languages and we should steal this one too. The insulation in aluminium boats is good for reducing the wind noise. Thanks for this video. Regards, Rick.

Thanks Rick! It's a great expression isn't it, we actually thought it was English as we would not say it like that in Swedish. We heard it from in a song by a Swedish woman, singing in English kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIilmYaGeJpjmbs

Do you do something special with the center board ? Up ? Down ? Thank you very much for sharing your adventure ! ⛵ A French watcher !
@bushpoint9 ай бұрын
If the depths allow it we normally keep it down when on anchor. Thank you so much for watching 😀

Could you at some point tell us a bit about the efficiency on the solar panels? Comparing the integrated ones with the ones on the stern? I understand that you might not have the material for a video on it atm. But hopefully a new season is coming. Happy sailing.
@bushpoint9 ай бұрын
Thank you for commenting and asking, so to give you something to start with. It is our feeling that due to shading etc. the 700W we have on the doghouse and coach roof, give the same as the 400W we have on the davits.
@noldushumlesnurr61699 ай бұрын
@@bushpoint Sounds reasonable to me. The integrated ones are not supper efficient then, but they seem really well protected from wind and sea. I have enjoyed your trip through Crinan Canal (Ep 62/63) and Hike up Goatfell (Ep 64) today. Irland looks like a worthy summer destination.

I grew up sailing this coastline - Beautiful on a good day, horrible on a bad one. Can rain and blow for a week but then the sun comes out. So the Swedish crew don't drink Guinness?
@bushpoint9 ай бұрын
We can only agree, horrible and great 😉 We have learnt to drink Guinness, but when hot and thirsty we prefer a lager 😀

"Well its now bloody wild I'm telling ya". If I didnt know better I would swear that was an Irish girl talking as its such an Irish way to say it. I hope you checked out the real Aran jumpers which are made from unwashed wool and so have the natural oils to make them water proof. Dún Aonghasa is 3,000 years old but Brú na Bóinne or Newgrange is 5,000 years old. Legend says that hole at 25.26 comes out in Australia. Go raibh an ghaoth go brách ag do chúl. An old Irish blessing, may the wind be always at you back. Works for sailing too provided the rollers arent to big and your a bit off the wind.
@bushpointАй бұрын
WoW, thank you for sharing and for the compliment! Has anyone checked, maybe the hole according to the legend (same spelling in Swedish btw) comes out in Australia 😇 We looked at the Aran jumpers, but then Jeanette decided she wanted to knit her own and bought Donegal yarn and pattern, it turned out be a very nice Aran jumper.
