I'd love to see the video making pigments tbh. Finding ANY tutorial online without gum arabique is impossible, and I am quite certain that prior to the 1700's we had ink and paints, but damned if I can find a modern example using early European methods.

Waste of a good feather, most of that could be used for fletching!

Fletching is made by first stripping the thicker sections of a feather (not the tip) from the pinna. Done carefully, this technique could yield both.

It's not a waste if you're using the feather to make a paintbrush it's like saying to a baker who just baked a loaf of bread "oh such a waste of good flour you could've made biscuits! "
