Ancient Chinese Taoist Mountain, “The Serenest Mountain Under Heaven”-Qingcheng Shan

Welcome to the Serenest Mountain Under Heaven. In this 2022 China travel vlog, I visit Qingcheng Shan, an ancient Taoist Mountain located 70 kilometers northwest of Chengdu. The founder of Taoism, Zhang Daoling set up many temples here to establish a Taoist foothold in China. You’ll find that every corner is rich in China and Taoist history. Furthermore, the gate in Kung Fu Panda’s Valley of peace was based off the front gate of Qingcheng Mountain.

To get to Qingcheng Mountain from Chengdu, take the subway to Xipu (line 6 and line 2). Then take Xipu Railway Station to Qinchengshan Station. From Qingchengshan Station, take a 5 minute cab/Didi to the mountain entrance or walk for ~45 min there.
