Aristotle was not an Athenian. He was a Macedonian. He happened to have been in Athens and studied under Plato, then founded his own school in Athens, the Academy. Yet he was a Macedonian. His father had been the physician of Alexander the Great's father, Philip II of Macedonia. When Alexander died, Aristotle had to flee Athens, having no protector any longer.

Aristotle was not Macedonian, in fact he was an Ionian Greek.
