@Installation00 Bro what’s really interesting is the slipspace drives where every FTL drive contains a small black hole within each drive core. So how the mechanics of slipstream space truly works? So you have a wormhole and one black hole, You take one end of the wormhole and you push it right into the black hole so when this happens the wormhole’s rift falls past the singularity and is distorted in unexplainable ways...Creating a whole new dimension of space known as Slipspace; Since wormholes have zero spacetime between each rift and black holes have a very infinite region of spacetime within an infinitely tiny point, That definitely explains the effects of slipstream space. Fun fact: So how the covenant FTL drives work is that they use the casimir effect to create slipspace ruptures which they use very little energy to do so, Though where as the human Shaw-Fujikawa translight engine require an ungodly amount of energy and extremely powerful ultra hyperpowered particle accelerators to do the job.

Halo 5’s biggest issue with microtransactions was how long the grind was. The fact that you can choose to grind for unlocks was good, but players like myself who refuse to buy req packs are forced to wait a very long time for important unlocks like Kinetic Bolt weapons, DMRs and other miscellaneous upgrades. This can be pretty disadvantageous in Warzone PvP and arguably just as pay-to-win as apps like Clash of Clans. Hopefully if they implement a similar system in Infinite, they at least don’t force you to grind silver packs for 600+ hours before you get to move on to legendary packs, etc. That said, it’s far from the worst offender as far as loot boxes goes.

10:59 An interesting thing is that Ancient Human Empire (AHE) weapons technology was stated to be singularly-superior to Forerunner weapons technology, at least at the time when the AHE fought the Ecumene. The Didact himself said that 'with the aid of the San Shyuum, Humanity was able to develop offensive implements that my warrior-servants had no defense against', and that helped them to hold off for longer against the exponentially-higher amount of Forerunner forces bearing down upon them. Forerunner technology was superior in almost if not all other fields, but the AHE were able to completely nullify the defenses of their enemies. The significance of this is because the most-powerful and favored assets that the Created would have at their disposal are Forerunner war machines. If the UNSC & allies manage to reverse-engineer a technology that can completely ignore the defenses of said Forerunner tech, then it would provide a massive increase in resistance potential.

Not only that - remember that the ancient Humans were fighting a two front war. They were SIMULTANEOUSLY fighting the Forerunner AND the Flood. And they BEAT the Flood. That's the terrifying thing about the Flood - they aren't just zombies, when they get enough biomass, it also makes them ultra-level intelligent as well. But the Ancient Humans were nearly on par with the Forerunner in technology and fighting capability, and were fighting a two front war up until they pushed the Flood back/they Flood withdrew. Either way, they were total badasses.
@Nyx_21424 жыл бұрын
@@SubduedRadical The Flood withdrew on purpose. I don't remember if this was in the book but one theory was that the Primordial was testing humanity to see if they were still worthy of the Mantle. I believe the other was that the Flood withdrew to trick the Forerunners into obsessing over a nonexistent cure so they would waste time and resources on finding out what is. Basically toying with them so they wouldn't be prepared and would look for a solution that didn't exist. Both theories hold a lot of weight. The Gravemind loved to mentally and physically torture his enemies, especially Forerunners. Also, the Flood didn't attack Earth before the Halo Rings until the Librarian transmitted a signal from Earth, even though it most certainly was within a Burn by then and completely defenseless free biomass.

Awesomeness Network every time spark implied chief was forerunner was before geas was written in to the lore, it’s a direct retcon specifically to explain this plot hole they invented. Halo 1, you ‘know’ how to use the installation’s tech instinctively and spark talks to you as if you are from his makers. 2, including anniversary terminals, heavily indicates that the Covenant has been wrong about their view of the Galaxy, and 3 is all about finding an ancient portal on the ancient human home world, terminals don’t make any mention of humanity, and do say “welcome, my child” and “lineage confirmed” in reverse when you’re accessing them. The secondary antagonist of the entire series directly, to your face, tells you that you are the child of his makers. Reclaimer and Inheritor weren’t just neat titles when they wrote this stuff, they were literal descriptions. I don’t have an issue with the current story because it has a ton of interesting parts and has expanded the universe a whole lot, but this isn’t the story some of us spent 3 games and multiple books growing up with.

I know it's a pretty minor quibble in the overall topic, but I would contend that the ship in the background of Reach's end scene does not look particularly advanced. It's just UNSC cruiser design language that's been compressed in the vertical, scaled down to frigate size (probably, the perspective on the painting makes it hard to tell but to my eyes it doesn't look like it could be much larger than the wrecked frigate closer to the foreground), and painted white. We know 2552 frigates were capable of hovering in atmosphere, even in close proximity to the ground, albeit partially with the aid of thrusters. It's not unreasonable to assume that 30 odd years of development, and reverse engineering of Covenant gravity systems that were already capable of keeping ships aloft all on their own, could reduce the involvement of thrusters to minimal levels or remove their need altogether (especially if we get meta and take into account that scene was made before the Created conflict and its fallout on human industrial capabilities became a thing). As well Halo 4 showed that the UNSC started painting at least some of its ships white by 2558 (going meta again, though, that choice might have been made solely to conform with the featured vessel) and that practice expanding over the following three decades is well within the realm of possibility. In short, it simply looks like a natural near term evolution of the then established UNSC ship aesthetic. Also, I'm assuming from the light colored bar on the very front that looks very much like a window that it's not a combat vessel, which further reinforces my assumption that it's towards small end in size. I'd assume some sort of scientific or survey vessel, given the context. I don't think we'll truly ever find out for sure, though, so I suppose all our interpretations are equally valid until or unless I'm proven wrong on that last point.

The Didact said in either Cryptum or Primordium that "with the assistance of the San Shyuum, Humanity created offensive technologies to which my warrior servants had no defense against". Ancient Human weaponry could hard-counter Forerunner defenses to that degree, so anything regarding the technology that the allied species could scrounge up and back-engineer would definitely help to tip the scales. Especially if they can get it to shoot first at a Guardian. Guardians are policing machines ment to enforce order on unruly elements and 'lesser' species, they were piss-poor war machines compared to the Forerunners' dedicated warships, which Ancient Human weapons could completely bypass the defenses of.
@alexisbaz87463 жыл бұрын
Guardians are only police cars by Forerunner standars, a AHE Warship can go to to toe with Sojourners, a single AHE ship could wipe out all guardian and the Created, and that single ship by himself would allow the UNSC to conquer the Galaxy... so I dunno about that...

Theory: Maybe fibril cutters use neural physics as projectiles in the same vein as MAC rounds to punch through ships? We know ancient humanity had extensive interactions with precursor neural physics constructs in places like Charum Hakkor so perhaps ancient humanity developed weaponry based upon it. This would also fit the description of weapons deployed during the human-forerunner war that the didact “had no effective defense against”.

@MinecraftPro15 Whose to say that they didn't outfit their units with those weapons, becoming more common as Ancient Humanity advanced in tech and decresed in numbers as the war dragged on? The Forerunners still held technological superiority in almost everything else and exponentially-outnumbered the Human forces. If the Humans can destroy 1000 ships per fight but the Forerunners can send out and replace 3000 in the same time, it's no surprise that Ancient Humanity got overwhelmed.
@fadelsukoco30924 жыл бұрын
As for Fibril weapons, the definition of "fibrillation" is "rapid uncoordinated twitching of muscle fibers". Maybe the weapons did something similar, but to matter itself? Imagine this: the weapon would send out a pulse or beam of energy that destabilizes the cohesion of the target's matter, causing targetted areas to have particles randomly and violently jolt amd flux. The sudden movement of these particles would cause atomic colllisions and cause massive damage as a result of the atoms being smashed against each other. At least, that's my idea of it.

The Ancient Humans were said to have developed weapons which the Forerunner warriors had no defense against. Since Cortana now controls a massive army of Forerunner war machines, it seems appropriate for resistant UNSC forces to get their hands on some of this Ancient Human technology. You didn't mention that the Hellcat Mjolnir Armor variant is based on Ancient Human armor discovered in the vaults of a crashed starship. Since the UNSC has already based at least some of their technology on these designs, it makes me wonder how much knowledge Cortana has on these locations. I'm really hoping Halo Infinite doesn't leave us in one single location for the entirety of the game. I would like to visit more than one location of interest and this starship would make for a great location. Even if we don't get any direct use out of it, it would probably be a good idea to try and scuttle it. I wouldn't trust Cortana with a starship like that. Back in 2015 I discussed on the Waypoint forums the possibility that Ancient Human imprints may be influencing modern day humanity, to the point that I believe Dasc Gevadim and the Triad may have been given information by them. Most of them want humanity to claim the mantle (not the created). I expect Spark, Intrepid Eye, little-bit and maybe even bias to get some more screen time in the future.

It's worth noting that ancient humanity had been combating the flood long before the forerunners even became aware of it. Ancient humanity was fighting a war on two fronts, head to head I'd wager if humanity had only been fighting the forerunners they would have won.
@ninboy014 жыл бұрын
I doubt it. The Forerunner empire was more vast, and still had a technological edge. Regardless of a some what equal footing military; Ancient Humanity’s defeat was a matter of time. The Forerunners also had technology that allowed them to effectively freeze space time and tear ships apart with gravimetric fields. No mention of Ancient Humans having technology that advanced. By the time the Human-Forerunner War was at its height the Flood had also already left the galaxy. It’s speculated in-fiction that the Flood did this to draw both civilizations to war to weaken them so they would be easier prey when the Flood returned.
@fadelsukoco30924 жыл бұрын
@@ninboy01 True, but according to the Librarian, even after the Ancient Human Empire (AHE) had the majority of their empire either spaceraped by the Flood or glassed in response to such, with a crippled military desperately running from the threat and the Forerunners having the ability to jam AHE Slipspace travel and predict where human ships would exit, thus allowing the Forerunners to set up perfect ambushes and dictate almost every battle, they still took over a millennium to get to Charum Hakkor. And that was when the Forerunners onlu had to deal with AHE forces defending their greatest strategically-important places, as part of the Didact's "Starhopping stratagem. After 53 years of getting nowhere useful on Charum Hakkor, thr San Shyuum let the Didact through the defenses in exchange for NOT getting biologically devolved. The Didact believed that Humanity was the gteatest threat to the Forerunners in history, and the Librarian believed that the wars with the AHE (as well as postwar Forerunner political bullshit) weakened the Ecumene enoigh for the Flood to win the way that they did. This is also why the Flood suddenly stopped attacking human worlds mid-war, they wanted the AHE to rebound and wear down the Forerunners as well as spreading the lie of the "Flood Cure"
@Nyx_21424 жыл бұрын
@@ninboy01 Ancient Humanity sacrificed an entire 3rd of their population at the end of their war with the Flood, let alone how many they lost during it. With their alliance with the San Shyuum, and in a situation without the Flood, they definitely had a strong chance of winning. The Didact even comments on the fact that the Humans and San Shyuum had developed weapons they were completely defenseless against. And as the other commenter said, even with the Forerunners advanced technology and Humanity's weakened state, the humans still held on for over a millenia. And I've never heard that flood theory, ever. I have heard that the Primordial was testing the Humans to see if they were still worthy of the Mantle. And the other being the Primordial did it to trick the Forerunners into obsessing over a nonexistent cure to torment them and leave the unprepared. The testing Humanity theory has some merit as even when the Forerunners only existed on the Arks, the Flood never touched Earth. It was completely defenseless and had free biomass but it wasn't attacked until the Librarian sent a transmission from it. Then you have moments from the game where the Flood didn't attack Earth until the Ark portal was open and even then used the opportunity to attack the Ark anyway. In short, the Flood has only attacked Earth when provoked into doing so.

Cool video! The only issue is, as of Halo Reach, Humans were Forerunners, which 343 unnecessarily retconned. So, when Bungie put that ship in, it wouldn’t have had anything to do with “ancient humans,” since that didn’t exist in their lore. Might be more likely humanity advanced technologically after reverse-engineering Covenant and Forerunner technologies post war.

I've always been somewhat lukewarm towards the mystery of the forunners being unravelled and all the crazy lore around ancient humanity and such, especially as most of it doesn't even come to the fore in the games (until Halo 4 I guess, where there's a big exposition dump). It'll be interesting to see if much of this stuff comes up in Halo infinite
@augury2699 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I think this is the problem with 343i and Microsoft at the higher levels, and it doesn't end with them its industry wide across entertainment. The problem in my opinion is that 343i has yet to make Halo their game, it is still very much Bungie's and Microsoft's game. Sure they've made changes and brought in new ideas, but they haven't broken away and come into their own. They have a very wide world to explore and they haven't done it yet. I think Halo Infinte if handled correctly going forward could be their way to do that. Halo Infinte provides the best platform for 343i to make Halo their own game and move forward with ideas and stories that we would've never thought of. FIrst the most important thing though they need to stop making books for what happens between the games or at least give us some kind of cutscene/montage of the things that happen between games if they want to keepdoing it that way. Back to the other stuff now, Halo Infinte provides the perfect platform to launch Master Chiefs story into its end. The Believe Campaign has already been made cannon, so we know at some point soon Master Chief goes MIA at least. Continue Halo Infinte and the Zeta Halo story with The Endless, but don't wrap it up there. If it were me, I would have Master Chief fight the Endless on Zeta Halo similar to the way Noble Six fought the Covenant on Reach. I don't think anyone would mind a similar ending as that but with a Master Chief flare to it, which of course means blowing up Zeta Halo. But a slight twist, before this happens build up the next story to come. If these last six games were considered the Reclaimer Saga, lets end it with something big, something that can already be said to have started in Infinite's campaign and open world. Let's bring Ancient Humanity back into the fold. Let Chief send a warning back to the UNSC and information gathered on Zeta Halo about Ancient Humanity, before going dark and being deemed M.I.A. Have this saga end with Humanity Reclaiming and openly being made aware of their Ancient Heritage and history. From there we can move on and 343i can finally make this theirs. Start a new saga with new characters but don't erase Master Chiefs accomplishments. Show us just how much of his legacy is passed on, introduce a brand new Spartan Program based on the Ancient Humans, Have Halsey trying to create a new John, Blue Team out leading and training this new generation of Spartans. Show us just how much Master Chief meant to the Halo Universe, but this isn't the core of the story moving forward. Now I would call this the Mantle Sage/Era (name doesn't matter). Here we have humanity take up the Mantle, just not the one the Precursors thought us ready for. Instead we take up a new spartan, who with the rest are taking up the mantle of not only Master Chief but Ancient Humanity, not claiming their spot but finishing what they could not. Now despite what I said earlier, we could use a book or two to claim some time between the stories. The Endless are let loose on the Galaxy and they're not taking any prisoners, whether its the Humans or the Covenant they are taking out everyone they deem to be in their way. But ONI being ONI know what their goal is and it isn't like they've been hiding it, they want the Mantle left by the Precursors, that they believe is rightfully theirs. With this we bring Halo back to a period of war. But not normal war, this is an entirely new theater, Humans step out with entirely new technology, weapons, armor everything, and our flagship of course is the Eternity now completed with everything we've gained from the Infinity and the Ancient Human technology that has been either hidden by ONI or retrieved from Chiefs final message. Continuing on our new Spartan is not the big hero, not like Chief, so give us fireteams to play with a mix of Spartan IV's and V's. (They did it in H5 and it was a nice addition) With our new spartan and fireteam, let us join the war completing missions across the galaxy as we try to combat the Endless and get to the Mantle before them, only out of fear of what this might be (the mistaken belief that there is another super-weapon like the Halo Array). With this we can bring out the deeper lore and history of Halo and bring it to the forefront. Of course we're not going to have another six games dedicated to this one thing. But with this fight for the Mantle, we can bring back/out other threats. The flood can finally make a return and imagine them with the Endless as host, The Gravemind can comeback, the actually Precursors can maybe make a comeback.

So here’s how I think the revelation of knowledge is gonna play out in halo from now on. Originally the mystery was the Forerunners and the Flood. These concepts have been somewhat fleshed out. So now it seems they are beginning to explore the history of ancient humans. And as they explore humans they’re gonna have to go in to humanities prosecution of the Precursors. So as they reveal information about humans they will progress into the history of the Precursors.

The Reclamation should have been modern humanity reclaiming their Ancient Humanity which was in fact also Precursor and the Forerunner would have been reconnected to this ancient triumvirate. I just thought of a story they could do where you play as a Spartan whose been captured and lost their armour. Through some means, you'd escape to some ancient human site with a bunch of enemies (banished? Flood even). In way over your head with no Mjolnir, the Spartan would be feeling the pressure. But Spartans gonna Spartan, so you press on and find an ancient human AI, who then guides you to various ancient shields, weapons and armour to use in the fight to reclaim the site from the enemy. You could weave in a save the galaxy plot, perhaps the Spartan thinks the flood will find the ancient humans cure so they can adapt to it, so you need to get to it first (spoiler, there isn't actually a cure.) I imagine some of the character interaction could be pretty interesting. A Spartan with no armour, certain of death but pressing on, because no one else can. An AI, a little perplexed by the modern humans vulnerability without the armour, as he or she seems already much stronger than the average human these days, could the armour really increase chance of success that much? But as the Spartan says, "you can always use a bigger gun"

One thing I have not been seeing in Halo U is reverse engineering and hybridization of Covenant and Forunner weapons. I challenge you to create a lore and theory video on the many ways covenant/forunner technology could be reapropriated and combined to enhance (not replace) human tech at the 2560 level. Personally, I think halo 4/5 should have had some weapons with plasma effects. Why are the vehicles still grounded? Why are we flying pelicans that are not using Covenant antigrav and cloaking technology? if you have already made this video then I am sorry. I have not seen one. I have had this idea from the beginning of Halo. It is one of the mechanics I love about the XCOM series.
