Ancient Mariner 6000 Casting Reel Review

This is my thoughts on the Ancient Mariner 6000 casting reel after a few months of hard use.

Yeah, I just bought three of them Rod reels. They are smooth and they go along way with very little effort and retrieving like you said is awesome. I like them better than my abu Garcia that I have.

Found a 6000 series in Santee Cooper. It was under water so long the metal is pitted. Stripped it down cleaned it and works great. Obviously good quality reels.

Man that's cool! And yea I agree they are top notch reels, good materials, well built. Since this video I have bought several other brands, I have finally decided on Ancient Mariners.. have took off all my Penns and replaced with AM 7000s.

I’ve been getting these on line through him directly there not 150 for the combo anymore the challenger rods have had 100 sharks and black drum to 50 u cam out a Penn 146 which is about the same size love the reels 3-5 years no issues I always back the drags off stainless parts. A plus. Great reel for the money 💰

No sir, they do look alot like a ming yang but alot of the guts are different and the dealers I've asked said that Ancient Mariner makes everything their self. Just got home from fishing this exact reel was one I was using lol.. it's still in action

It's the same.. these have a good spool tensioner on them.. they cast great 👍🏻
