***Excellent work Brien , Important to note that "Uxmal " (three times built ) - means : a pyramid inside a pyramid inside a pyramid .The construction had to coincide with the cycles of Creation. The Itza-Zamana (Mayan)-Celestial ,Terrestrial,& Underworld .****

most interesting is that those structures, temples and pyramids are very similar to structures on other continents, like if people shared common knowledge or ancestors. It could also be that human mind works that way. Even more fascinating is that how largely inhabited America was. It is very sad that something bad happened there and they did not evolve similar way as civilizations on other continents

There could be a lot more sites still buried or under water. From wiki: (Past sea level) : The current sea level is about 130 metres higher than the historical minimum. Historically low levels were reached during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM), about 20,000 years ago. The last time the sea level was higher than today was during the Eemian, about 130,000 years ago.

I think you, same as Brian, don’t know the definition of a megalithic structure. If you’re talking about a large building made with stone and mortar, like all the levels of construction at this site, it’s not megalithic. You might benefit from a simple Wikipedia read on archeology and architecture. Or carry on believing stupidity at its finest.

*** Important to note , not all Limestone used is From the same quarry ,source. Most of The outer mason work is of coral limestone .The Hidden (inner Sanctum ) -construction they used Limestone from Stalagtites,Stalagmites to represent the Underworld (Xibalba ).Not all Limestone (calcium carbonate ) is formed under water ,as noted in the extensive Cave and Cenote system .Metamorphic Limestone under pressure creates Marble ,a true Marble of Nature .!! ----The Itza-Zamana(Maya)-also grounded ,pulverized marble, limestone ,literally burnt-lime cement for mortar , Stucco and other mysterious applications yet to be unveiled .!!!!Thank you Brien .🗝🗝--Keep Unlocking .--Be Safe --The Safe .🗝🗝🗝🗝🗝🗝🗝

The fact that the finely cut blocks don't quite fit as tightly together as other places in this area and around the planet does indicate that it could have been built once to the tightest standard, then rebuilt as best as they could with the same ancient blocks, but didn't have the technology to get them as tightly fitting. And then, the 3rd time when the technology of building with the giant blocks was completely lost, they used the small blocks with mortar.

Given the region’s vulnerability to earth quakes it’s no surprise that it was re made three times . Another possibility is abandonment and stone robbing which you see a lot in the UK. If you look in surrounding area you might find some of these blocks in local house foundations.

Great work, Brien. Interesting as always. Uxmal meaning "built three times" sounds similar as El Castillo on Chichen Itza. We have found that pyramids are renovated (and/or enlarged) on top of older foundations, hence that many orientations remain unchanged. We are not into the reasons as to why they did these things. We have gathered the data of virtually all orientations of ancient structures around the world. This pyramid of the magician is oriented at +10 degrees (east of true north). It points to a massive cluster that we have named "Pole II". This Pole II is mathematically dated at between 130 and 155ky. The probability that this pyramid is ORIGINALLY this old is very high, over 99.6%. But this is also an age that most people are unable to comprehend tragically enough.

Funny, every single city in the old world has been built over time and time again spanning back hundreds and thousands of years. I guess these damn Indians couldn’t have possibly been up for the same things we were up to in Euroasia. Funny also how all the things in this site can be archeology traced through material remains. It’s not a factual science (if that even exists) but it’s certainly not some mysterious anomaly that just popped up there in a void. You’re the only idiots that approach it in such a way, not anyone that takes the time to research it.

I was there in 2012. The Wizard Temple is off limits. However was told or read back then. There are older smaller structures in it. Maybe that is the 3 times ? That south temple at 6:00 mark is rather nice. I did go up it. Those "steps", blocks are quite large. Not like the small ones I have seen at other sites. I am 6 feet tall. It wore my legs out making those tall steps. The French kids that were there came up on all 4's. I had visiting Germans take my photo at the sacrifice area at the top. I have been to several ruins. Uxmal is a good visit. It was explored by Stephens, and Catherwood in 1840's. Two volume work "Incidents of travel in Chiapas, Central America, and Yucatan". This was also a time of civil war in the area.

What a weird structure! Megalithic features, rubble features, and everything in between. There is even a wood support at the doorway, which has about weathered away. None of the old cultures did that as far as I know. It would take a team of college students a while to work out sequences of construction.

I've been to Uxmal (and many, many more Mayan sites). These Mayan sites have ALL been restored in modern times to some extent or another. You need to see the condition of these ruins BEFORE the restoration. So, comparing cut blocks to rubble construction in these cases may not a good comparison.

Brien - talk to geologists. There is is no such thing as "metamorphic limestone." Limestone that has been metamorphosed is MARBLE. Same minerals and same hardness as limestone. All limestone was formed under water and it has to be uplifted tectonically to be available to be seen or used or weathered.
