i personally highly doubt that the lizardite chinese sword was geniunely brought to america by an ancient chinese explorer, as georgia is on entirely the wrong coast for the chinese to find. the only explination that fits the story is that it was traded away to the natives who continued to trade it until it reached georiga, where it was promptly buried, but even that is a stretch, as it is unlikely for the natives to travel the mountains and deserts that lie just east of the west coast.

while i don't doubt that chinese people actually reached america (there is actually some moderately strong evidence to support this), my point was that it is unlikely that this one specific weapon actually came from china with an ancient explorer. more likely some collecter of old artifacts brought it out to the woods one day and accidentally left it behind. also yes, the native americans are closely related to the mongols, as the prehistoric peoples that crossed the bearing land bridge came from what is now mongolia and eastern russia. after the ice age ended, however, the land bridge was flooded and became the bearing strait, isolating the natives from the mongols, and causing two entirely different cultures to emerge.

Or it was dropped by one of the thousands of Chinese immigrants to America.

7:16 OR... some guy who happened to have it some centuries later, lost it when he was visiting the US. Just because it was dated that old doesn’t mean it’s been there the whole time

Placed a high value on the swords I've owned. When I admitted I was getting old I gave them to younger men hoping they'd appreciate them as much as I did.

IndexSe7en---You make some wonderfully informative video's. A question why didn't you include swords and other blades made by the Chin Dynasty. I heard on a documentary that the majority of them were made so very well that when they were found they could still be used if necessary.

We tried to feature swords with some mysterious background or unexplained origin, but we can always approach the sword theme from a different point of view in a future vid, thanks for the suggestion : )
