May I respectfully inquire as to how the term “worthless servant” may be read in the light of John 15:15 “ I no longer call you servants . . . instead, I have called you friends.” Thank you.

I would dare to guess it might be because He's speaking directly to the apostles there, who had special access to the teachings of Christ that none (few?) of us after have had. The Gospels don't record all the teachings of Christ, they record what is necessary for the salvation of our souls. I would say that due to the special revelation saints receive in their closeness to Christ, they can achieve a similar relationship to that the apostles had with Him, and so they may be called friends of Christ.

He also called Himself a servant, just as God identified Himself as "helper" using the same word with which Eve was called Adam's helper. Sacrificial, service to others is fundamental to God's love. It doesn't diminish in friendship, it grows. As for worthlessness, this echoes our best deeds being as filthy rags in comparison to God's goodness. This emphatic language is common in scripture and shouldn't be taken as excluding other emphases. Eg. Christ tells us to hate our family compared to our love for God, emphasising the vast difference in order of priority and orientation, but by loving God above all, we love our family and our enemies more than possible without loving God most.

Is enjoying a cigar once a month sin? Like drinking wine isn't a sin (when done in moderation), is it the same? A cigar is for tasting, not inhalation. I am not asking so that I can barely keep the commands, but we should aim to go beyond and seek to glorify God. Please help Thanks

Smoking tobacco in of itself is not a sin, same for drinking alcohol. However you should always be potentially aware of anything that could become addictive. Once a month isn't an issue, in my eyes, and I say this mostly so you can avoid a potentially greater sin in scrupulosity. But if you feel honestly called to drop it completely for the glory of the Lord then do so. The denial of simple pleasures is an honorable sacrifice.

Based on the different answers you've gotten in the comments, I'd say, the question should be posed to God. Pray and fast asking me for the right direction. To smoke or not smoke, even if it's occasionally. Remember, there will never be an answer on earth that could ever be able challenge that given by the Lord God. He will make it known to you. Just simply ask him.
