I’m so blessed that someone is actually counteracting many of Dr Ehrman’s claims and teachings. By exposing his own flaws in an intelligent, truthful and especially knowledgeable way. Dr Ehrman is brilliant and I have learnt a lot from him as a 30 years plus Christian, as I have been studying his teachings for at least the past three years. But his teachings also did much to severely damage my faith. I almost drowned but came up gasping for air and swimming the tide once again. I am still a believer! I am very concerned at just how many Christians Bart Ehrman has actually pushed away from the faith however. His intelligence, knowledge and authoritative style are very convincing. He says he wants people to make decisions for themselves but it seems to me that his thrust is to turn “misguided and ignorant” Christian’s in his opinion, to agnosticism or even atheism, if he says he doesn’t have this intention at heart, his very style of imparting his knowledge seems to show me that there is a driving force within him to do just that. Thankyou Pastor Wallace and Dr White for presenting your videos counteracting Dr Ehrman. As you will save some out of the fire. I hope you will put out more videos of this ilk. As Dr Ehrman is a HUGE stumbling block.

I am a muslim and i agree but there is nowhere in the entire bible where jesus is called the creator of the universe and i don't think you have to be a muslim to believe that why not become a unitarian christian biblical and still believe islam is false

@@theguyver4934 what are you talking about, John 1 is literally about Jesus being God and the creator of the universe: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him." and there are more like this, before making such claims read the bible yourself

@@samhiguma - I'm not going to lie i have never read it but i know people who have sir anthony buzzard but think about it to say that jesus is god you will also have to believe that the one mary carried for all those months in her womb was the all mighty now no one in his/her right mind would believe that

@@theguyver4934 you may have all the opinions and references you want, but it will never replace the primary source. you have to read yourself the bible even to check that the people you're quoting are right and not lying or being deceptive. if the bible says "X" but you only read people that say the bible says "Y" how are you going to know they're lying to you?

I also went to Princeton Theological Seminary. But my confidence in the reliability of the Bible only increased! Bart just runs with the prevailing fashions and succumbs to peer pressure.

I saw this video over on the video vault where comment are not allowed. I m aware of him of course. But knowing he is a theological "liberal" I mostly ignored him. I had little idea of how utterly dishonest and arrogant his "thought" is. the poor man is to be pitied for he has chosen eternal loss an I suspect it is now too late for him

I wonder if Bart Ehrman has any clue of the accountability he will have when he faces judgment given how many people he has deluded into unbelief. Then again, if someone’s really born-again and prepared, they’re not going to be so easily duped by him if they are prepared at any level. Problem is, a lot of churches and parents don’t prepare their children for college.the a thing about Ehrman is, if he were living under a curse, would he be aware of it because guess what? If he were really honest, he would admit that he is his own deity and has dominant sin in his life that he does not want to give up. Typically it’s sexual type in most phony atheists lives. One wonders if he’ll be so arrogant on his deathbed when he realizes that the jig is up, and indeed, he will have to give a count for his wretched life. I doubt he will be so smart man, but cry out for salvation, instead like so many pseudo atheists do.

You make presuppositions about Ehrmans presumptions. The historical record is his text and he uses materialistic reductionist techniques discounting any supernatural events. What ever metaphysical arguments made outside his analysis is up to others.

He is not alone, was taught this by people before him. Also not totally wrong, if so, we would be teaching Jesus is public schooling right? We actually engaged Ehrman's arguments. You respond with rambling, gratuitous assertions. Since we made this, Ehrman has tried to defend his statements on Jesus not being Yahweh to New Testament writers, but he refuses to debate it, because he would lose badly.
