Gotta love that Joerg is a crossbow/slingshot/kinetic weapon fanboy first, engineer second. He gets as giddy as a kid with a toy as soon as he has a functional model; and he designed it! Great design on this one, in all of its configurations. The ease of assembly/disassembly makes this a very practical "backpack" weapon, for both pre and post Zombie Apocalypse use.

If I may, red dots are actually mounted farther forward toward the middle of your rail. Since they are made to shoot with both eyes open, having that field of vision around the optic is what makes them great. A red dot with a magnifier would be sick on this crossbow.
@nathancarter28562 ай бұрын
was about to comment this. if you are using them correctly the casing of the optic won’t impede your vision at all. on my ars i mount them as far forward on the upper receiver as possible.
@marishiten594411 күн бұрын
No it wouldn't. It's a crossbow. There is no reason to have any kind of magnification on a crossbow. This isn't a mini 14. It's a crossbow with extremely limited range and accuracy. hello Jorge u should tell the manufacturer to design a two-fire trigger, which means that the trigger has two positions. More complexity means more testing, higher cost, and more delays. This is a reliable, off-the-shelf build that has a bunch of potential for aftermarket support. 100%, later designs can have extra features for extra cost, maybe a "custom" shop for people who want a more "tactical" look and don't have or want to darken their screws themselves (😂).

@Fuerwahrhalunke3 ай бұрын
You could also just place your thumb on top of the release, if you know that you will be shooting more than once. It's probably another part of training with the thing. I agree though, having the release on the side where the thumb is, so it's easier to reach, would've been a wiser decision.

Things I'd like to see in the next video on this: (Ahem...) :) 1. Bolt average weight. 2. Velocity testing of bolt using the most powerful set-up. 3. Speed testing with re-cocking. (It looks like one shot every three to four seconds or so right now? That was casual though... What can you really do?) 4. A realistic assessment of how hard it is to reset. It's still not hard to do, for a giant powerlifter Hahaha! What about a normal person? Or even a fairly fit, but not huge one? So far it's impressive, I admit. Thanks!

I have to say that I like the range of options in this product. The fact that you can switch out to a limb with 120 pounds of force is VERY nice! I had a Barnet wildcat 150 lbs crossbow, and it was a beast to try and cock; that this only has 30 lbs less of force and can be cocked and recocked so easily is a definite plus!

I'm excited to see the mods and accessories for this thing! Like a lever-arm that let's you press the cocking release without moving your hand!

dont get me wrong, i love this crossbow, but it really doesnt to seem to be THAT easy to use the "leveraction". You are pretty strong guy and i can see that you have to put a bit of Schmalz into the process of cocking the string. Isnt there any way to make that reloadprocess easier? Maybe with pulleys?
