Thar's Dave on the guitar & the singer is his wife Ashley. Sadly Russ passed from us the beginning of 2020. The music goes on, as he wanted it to. Hope you take the time to enjoy the hundreds of uploads for your listening pleasure & to subscribe so you can tune in each week for a new Sunday Shoutout, you never know when the next one could be for you. Peace

Thank you, I really enjoyed the bass, acoustic, and vocals. I see that this was six years ago, but I'll still ask: Why did you break the spell so quickly at the end? The guitars were still reverberating with the final chord, and you suddenly shifted the energy. When I experience musicians do this, I always assume they don't have an authentic connection with the piece they just performed. And that's a bummer.

It has been a while and we have learned as we go, and have definitely paid attention to letting the song settle a little at the end, but I don't think it has anything to do with not connecting to the song as it does the format of these videos and learning how to best use it.
@jimreadey4837 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like you may be alluding to something very similar,@@SugarLimeBlue-- i.e., being in front of a video camera has affected your energetic relationship with the music. Perhaps my initial internal reaction (assuming there was a lack of authentic connection with the song) was not entirely accurate. Maybe there was simply a discomfort with the connection that _was,_ in fact, made... a discomfort that didn't allow you to sit in the depth of she connection once the last notes had been played. In any case, glad you have continued to learn and grow together.

y'all kicked that songs ass! awesome! much better than that craptastic cover by Passenger!!

are you a rusher or a dragger?
@robbysturgis7 жыл бұрын
so far, this is your best shout out: your version was sincere, believable and compelling. Also, you didn't give up on your own voice, hitting most of your notes. Be careful not to try and sing more than one harmony voice at a time. Let your compadre bring his voice a little more prominent and sing to your lead. If you take the bait and try to sing to him, you run the risk of averaging your notes. Otherwise - well done.
