It was the Birthplace of Jerry Lieber (RIP), and Mike Stoller who were the first Successful Songwriting Team of The Rock Era who wrote songs for everyone from Elvis Presley, Coasters, Drifters, Wilbert Harris and Ben E. King. The Performing Arts High School's Alumae is Aliyah, Tupac Shakur, and Jada Pinkett Smith. Also in The Neighboring State of Annapolis is home of The US Naval Academy and it was where Alex Haley's Great Great Great Great Grandfather Kunta Kinte was sold into Slavery. It is also home to NCIW (National Correctional Institute For Women), which is one of America's most notorious Women's Prisons.
