It's from Pirates : At World's End. How you say Caribbean depends where you live. In the UK we stress the BE in the US I think they stress the RIB. This is one of my favourites from VP. Both Eli and Layne look criminally insane at times. LOL. They could do a musical, an original one, if they had the time. It is the time they don't have. Twenty years? Geoff is alrady saying he would like to stop. But I think he doesn't mean it.

I would LOVE a full length, original musical with Voiceplay-add in all their regular guests, too! The touring part-wouldn’t happen or shouldn’t, since their hearts are at home with their families right now. BUT they could make a video of it (I’d buy it and then buy more for gifts). I’m all in for that! Great reaction!

There is a "musical" that was written by Layne and former Voiceplay member, Tony. It is produced by Pattycake Production, their production business. It doesn't have Voiceplay as artists, and isn't a cappella, but it is great. It is called "The Villain's Lair" and features all the Disney Villains as protagonists, who plot their revenge on their "heroes".

Originally there was to be a different guest artist, but they were unable to fly in due to Covid. The guys had already learned and recorded their parts. When they found Jose was available to fill in, he couldn’t manage the higher part. So Eli learned the featured part and recorded it in just a couple days and Jose took Eli’s original part. I agree with you about a musical for Voiceplay, but I very much doubt they’d be interested. Since three of them have young children, they no longer want to travel and only do it for very special occasions. (Like doing two concerts in Atlantic City last fall with the band Chicago. ) On the plus side, they have already teased their next video, which should be coming out later this week. It’s Classical Chaos, a sequel to their Hall of the Mountain King. This time they have a whole forest (Layne and Tony hauled 34 trees into the studio for the set). It’s another passion project from Layne and not to be missed!

Hypothetically, they could perform it once and have it recorded, then release it as a movie. A 2-hour Voiceplay video with their unique brand of visualization and a full story to boot? Hell yes, I'd pay to watch that. Honestly, I wish more plays and musicals were recorded and released. I get that they want people to go to the theater rather than watching from the comfort of their own home, but we don't all have that option. There's a pesky Atlantic Ocean between me and Broadway, so it's not like I'm going to any shows there ever in my life. I'd still like the opportunity to see some of those shows, even if it won't be "live".

@@Wishbone1977 No money to spare doesn't help either. I live in Memphis TN. We have a lot of musicals. Comedians, singers and groups here but can't go because I'm on a limited budget. I was only able to go see Gabriel Iglesias a couple years ago because the ticket was a Christmas gift.

@@Wishbone1977 The National Theatre here in the UK has been broadcasting performances of plays live to cinemas, it works really well - they get to reach a wider audience and people who couldn't afford a theatre ticket (+ travel + accommodation) can see it for the price of a cinema ticket. I love Voiceplay, love all the members of Voiceplay, love Geoff, and love you! When Covid broke out, they were stuck on a cruise ship they'd been working. It was not allowed in to port. I keep thinking, well, if I had to be stuck and I was with Voiceplay, no problem. They record shorts once a month, usually at a mall near Orlando, FL. If I had enough money, I would fly there and just camp out at the mall for a month until I saw them recording. I would be respectful and watch from a distance. Thank you for making my day.

I think it's a testament to just how talented each member of VoicePlay is, when you think about how each iteration of the group is just as good as every other one. I mean, lots of groups have had members leave & the replacement just.... isn't very good or takes the group in a totally different direction that just doesn't strike your fancy, and yet... no matter what era of VoicePlay you listen to, they still have that wonderful, unique "special kind of dumb" that is woven into their music. Whether you listen to the Tony, Earl, or J None era, VoicePlay sounds amazing regardless of what the group composition is. Every guest they feature sounds like they've been full time members of the group this entire time. Remarkable, unfathomable talent amongst that group of human beings (or... are they even human?!)
