I do that with the feed. The pound that you spend is worth the customer saying “the lawn has never looked better” 😁. Do you ever have nightmares about confusing the lawn feed and the weed killer 😮?

Great stuff Rob, I have a handful of what I call 'shop window' lawns, typically gardens near the beginning of housing developments or in public view of main roads etc. I always try to do a little extra, above and beyond the strim, mow, blow and go. The amount of new work that comes in when people see you parked outside is staggering if the garden looks top notch. Do it for free on a hadful of select lawns to generate new paying customers is perfectly sensible.

Hi Rob, can I ask how often you apply the treatments for 'free' customers? I've been thinking about doing this myself, but I've read the liquid fertilizer only lasts a couple weeks in the soil. Yes. The £35 is to cut the grass any further work would incur a further charge. Your only charging to cut the grass not to fertilize customers gardens for free. I used to earn £40hr in 2018 cutting grass so £35 hr plus free fertilizing is ridiculous to me but if your happy I am happy but I think you will regret it as time goes on as it will be expected instead of appreciated as a free gesture

yes if you are trying to be the premium grass cutting service in the are this will set you aside from the cheapo £15 an hour service some people go for. we had a fortnightly one full of clover, every time we went the grass was 8 inches tall and a nightmare to cut. I secretly sprayed off the clover and it became much more manageable

No from a business perspective this is smart. I bet you have spent way more than 100 quid on equipment that just gathers dust in your shed and does nothing for your business or reputation.
