At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. This was the first round in a show series called The Show must go on... She went through 9 stages ...songs of different genres .. shes 18 here but her interest in music begins at a very young age. But if you listen to her sing Blizzard,Deniere Dance Rechencka and wicked Game in the actual, You are super show in her early teens...featuring young artist series you will soon see why in this opening salvo 💥blew the doors off with this performance and left the other judge competitors gob smacked. 😬😎🤩 This was her hitting high notes and acting as a fantasy opera diva ... She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she did not love her child, cruelly abused it and tried to drown it. Relatives found the child with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to an orphanage. There she finally found love ... from Irina Ponik, a massagetherapist. Taking a young child into the family was not easy for Irina. Your son was already 20 years old, daughter Nastya 17 years old ... Now start all over again? Yes sir!!! Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old. Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared but she all sing songs from cartoons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started ... During 2008 to 2012 Diana sang around 40 songs, including at competitions. Her mother, Irina Ponik, turned her whole life inside out and started all over with a new motherhood and many new professions - seamstress, manager, vblogger… admirable. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances, competitions, looking for sponsors is organized and coordinated by her mother Irina Ponik. She took extra sewing courses too. Since then, she's been sewing all of Diana's stage costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with the persistence of a visionary. It is admirable how she promotes her daughter's career, teaching her how to fly but makes sure that she is down to earth Remains. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to KZbin and soon she had millions of fans. The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship. Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a 37m²/398,26 ft² small apartment in Moscow. There she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020). Diana has something unique, mystical, but also sensitive, sensual in her voice. It sounds very deep but absolutely feminine. Diana is a dramatic contralto voice, the rarest and lowest female voice (her range C3-E6). Diana's voice sometimes has a polyphonic undertone = subharmonic. I think, she is our “Earth Treasure”. The break of voice made Diana’s voice even darker and deeper. She has mastered this time very professionally and has worked hard to bring back the lost high notes and has expanded her vocal range, currently from C3 to E6. Her genres are folk-rock, folk-pop, jazz, soul, blues, soldier songs and Diana-stile… tradition meets modernity. She loves to sing in French, but also sings in English, German, Arabic and Spanish... but only phonetically. She plays the piano and ukulele. 2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier, applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy ... and now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS). She is already composing songs and we will definitely hear her own work soon. As her late voice teacher said, Diana only takes part in competitions if she is invited. Such competitions require a great deal of time, effort, and strength. Diana is a smart young woman. She focuses on her studies, her voice and expanding her repertoire. You said then that you had a list with songs someone had put in the comments, but it was gone. (Did someone correct you where they are from by the way? They are from Sweden, not Switzerland 😉). And, I do agree with you about Marilyn Manson. True artist, through and through. And what you talked about in, I think it was, Coma white. Such a genius. You need to know your shit if you're going to interview him!
