My father was in the Army so I got to grow up in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa etc as an ambitious cricketer... None of these cities had a bowler that could scare me like the bowlers of Jammu and Kashmir did back in 1996 under 16 selection when I lived there at that time... This is absolutely true.. I used to play a lot for my district team back in punjab, 2000-2006, infact i was the only wicket keeper for U14, U16 and U-19. Despite of scoring well, the coach's both sons were picked up to play for Punjab... i slowly left the game.. but as they say, whatever happens happens for good. today i am author of dozen of books on cyber, asia's top 100 leaders in tech, represented my country at BRICS. :)

True story One of my friend used to play school cricket from Swami Vivekanandan International School where Dinesh Lad(Rohit Sharma's Coach) used to coach and still does, The coach's son (Siddhesh Lad) and my friend were of same age and he knew that my friend might become a threat to his son's career in school cricket if my friend performs well at a higher stage so when time came to recommend a player to the committee his son was recommended and because my friend was not in a great financial state to join any other club cricket his cricket career was over. During further selection, one of the coach's son's teammate was threatened to back out of the match where a selection committee was visiting to see the match as he was seen as a threat to his son's career. Till date this person asks money from the budding cricketers to recommend the players name further
